UDON’s Mega Man Robot Master Field Guide Delayed?

In a turn of events which may unfortunately not be new to some Mega Man fans, it appears that there is a possibility that the Mega Man Robot Master Field Guide from UDON Entertainment might be delayed.
A tip from @BotMarley points out that the Amazon listing for the book has been changed from its original release date of April 12th, 2011 (this Tuesday) to a Summer release of somewhere between July 15th to 19th, but it now reads as having a July 12th, 2011 release date. We reached out to UDON earlier this week to receive some sort of confirmation or correction about this, but have yet to hear anything back; we will update with new information as and if it becomes available.

However, this would not be the first time this year that Amazon has mistakenly moved a release date for some of UDON’s product. Early in March, Proto Stryker dropped us a tip that the Amazon listing for UDON’s printing of Hitoshi Ariga’s Mega Man Gigamix had been changed from May 17th to June 9th. Upon contacting UDON, Managing Editor Matt Moylan informed us that the book had “most definitely” not been delayed, and that they would look into it. A week later, Proto Stryker followed up to tell us that the release date had been bumped back to May 20th, though it now lists the release as May 18th. Meanwhile, volume two of Gigamix seems to have held firmly to its August 2nd release date.

If there is anything to take away from this, we suppose it would be that Amazon’s release dates for products such as these seem to be in constant flux, and that just because they list a delay does not always mean that the items in question have been delayed. We will see in just a few days about the Robot Master Field Guide, at least.
