World Hobby Fair Winter '09 Rockman report, Ryuusei no Rockman Official Complete Works announced

The semiannual World Hobby Fair is kicked off in Japan, starting in Osaka this weekend. Capcom naturally had a booth, and many Rockman festivities were had. These are among some of the events which occurred via an eye witness account.

  • Merchandise Corner: The sale of Rockman goods is said to have met both great success and great confusion, as volume 2 of the Ryuusei no Rockman 3 Noise Gear cards quickly sold out in the morning. There were other RnR3 related stationary goods, as well as Rockman 9 notebooks and mascot dolls. The new goods that appeared at Capcom's booth will be made available on e-Capcom in early February.
  • Rockman Series Boss Character Contest: A stage event was held that showed off contest winners from past RnR and EXE titles, and there were some minigames by the stage, but no information about the new Rockman game in the works was revealed.
  • Ryuusei no Rockman 3 Official Complete Works: Announced at a stage event, Capcom will continue their artbook line with the tentatively named Ryuusei no Rockman 3 Official Complete Works coming out in late March. Despite the name, it seems the book will contain art from all the series, not just 3.
  • Ryuusei no Rockman 3 mobile site update: A questionnaire for the game which could only be accessed on mobile phones with a Q code available at the event.

Probably the biggest news (at least for us) is the announcement of a new Official Complete Works artbook. In the next few weeks the WHF will move on to Tokyo, Nagoya and Fukuoka. While it's unlikely that the following WHFs will reveal anything this Osaka meeting didn't, we will still keep track of them in case of any developments.
