IGN has a two-page review of Mega Man 9’s Proto Man mode, which will be available as downloadable content on October 6th. As we reported before, Proto Man has the luxuries of sliding and charged shots, as well as his shield, but he takes more damage and recoils further. It also appears Proto Man won’t have access to the shop (he is a loner after all) and playing as him won’t count for fulfilling challenges.
