Sample Manami Matsumae’s Original Track with World 1-2 Pre-Order
Some months ago we informed you about “World 1-2,” a game music album project bringing together a number of artists from the game industry. This includes an original track by Manami Matsumae, one of the original composers of Mega Man and creator of some of its best known tunes.
World 1-2 is now available for pre-order for $10, and will release on May 2nd. However, you can listen to five tracks from the album right now, including Matsumae’s. Furthermore, if you pre-order now you can download those tracks right away in whatever format you desire.
This is Matsumae’s first work on a non-Japanese project. What do you think of her single? Does it seem Mega Man-ish?

The irony in this album is that I could never imagine it actually being used in a game.
awesome, but not great as nitro man or cut man to my point of view, but anyway, i’m happy to hear new work from her! can’t wait to play shovel knight too!
well…. after listening to it countless time, i’m really getting into it, it’s way better than at the first time! awesome song, it stays in my head easily!
shovel knight next! keep doing awesome music manami!
(and sorry for my english)
This is pretty good! I’d say a good chunk of it sounds more akin to her score for the arcade version of UN Squadron (awesome soundtrack, btw), but the main chorus is very Mega Man-ish. This is good stuff — it works well with multiple listens, like any decent game tune.
It mostly reminds me of something from Ninja Gaiden (then in some parts Castlevania) but yes there is a hint of Megaman in it.
