Hahaha, Mrs Famous? I’d like to try out for that part. I could do a very sexy wife to Mr. Famous.
Joking aside though, it’d be interesting to try out, but I don’t have a voice that lends well to female characters, and I definitely am not high pitched enough to do one of the young’n boys.
I’m sure you all just love my voice on the pod casts ;P
Yes. Yes we do.
<__>
Just sayin’…
Come one come all fair critics. Time to put your vocal cords where your mouth is.
Wait, what?
Well, it’s not for “all” critics– quite literally, it’s for those who think they can do better. I’d have mentioned it the first time around, but I was unaware they were still looking for cast members.
Seeing as I never saw the movie its hard to say. I know I can’t voice act ,but it be fun to see who attempts this.
I’ll be honest with you. Here are my thoughts as the trailer proceeded
0:20 – Not bad
0:50 – Kinda Vegeta-ish, but it sounds good.
1:10 – Ok, could have been better, and the lip sync was off
1:25 – Not bad, scientisty-sounding guy.
1:30 through 1:32 – wtf was that?!
1:52 – Wrong emphasis, doesnt have an older fellow’s sound.
2:12 – Sounds like a Villain, I like it.
2:30 – No, this does not sound like a kid at all. Not one bit.
2:47 – Whitest guy in the world, has a heavy non-caucasian accent. Lip sync was way off.
If
you’re planning to do a full dub, ya either need to not be
translation-strict (so lip sync matches up), or be skilled enough with
video editing where you can cut out pieces to adjust the mouth movement
in doing so.
Pros: Bass, Dr. Hikari, Villain guy
Cons: Lan’s voice sounds too old
1:30
voice (megaman maybe) needed emotion (voice does not imply disbelief or
confusion, just sounds like he’s repeating the previous line)
Helicopter pilot: Enough said.
The problem isn’t in getting voices, really. They’re most likely
gonna have a decent response now that this news is here. What’s needed
are good recording setups (high quality microphones mainly) and a REALLY
good director. Good luck to these guys, I’d audition if I had a good
mic..
That awkward moment when you hear your best friend voice acting as Lan.
I need to get Fuad a better mic.
May we please ask Capcom to make this? These voice actors are awful.
To be fair, you need not be an artist to be a critic. Especially since we don’t all have voices that fit these parts.
I have mixed feelings about the fan-dubbing in this video. While the acting is “meh” in my opinion, I give these fan-dubbers credit for inspiration. I mean, I feel motivated to help! Despite my large room for improvement, my voice can range from a male thirteen-year-old to a middle-aged man at best. My acting would also have to be truly synchronized with the character’s personality, a problem I tend to have. *sweat drop* Also, I lack a mic. > < Good luck to all who take part in the fan-dub!
That funny moment when:
This article is over a month too late, and 90% of those roles are supposedly already filled, according to the thread.
not the worst lan ive heard, better than BN5DS anyways
People are really critical about MegaMan fandubs on here. Sure the voices weren’t the best but it was something. I actually will consider trying out for a few parts for this fandub since people don’t want the original cast. I have a good mic and I’ve got some experience as a voice actor.
It’s not just Mega Man fandubs; it’s fandubs in general that tend to fail hardcore. There are a few that are actually good, but not many.
The problem with this project is that it would take a ridiculous amount of good talent to make the movie bearable in English, let alone as good as the original or better. The likelihood of this occurring is extremely slim.
Thanks and I did change the pilot’s voice and looking for new Lan voice ~Nat400
