About TMMN’s Site Maintenance
As you have likely noticed, many sections of the site have been undergoing maintenance for the better part of two months. This maintenance which includes our Wiki, Forums and Gallery, was necessary for the following reason:
We were hacked.
The main site (Blog) and Oekaki were successfully cleaned and fixed for safe viewing. However, the Wiki, Forums and Gallery were heavily damaged and will not be returning in their previous form. The Wiki will be the first section coming back up over the holidays, while the Gallery will follow later in January to early February. Please take note that the content of these sections will remain the same, but any bookmarks will likely need to be updated when the sections come back.
The Forums, on the other hand, will not be returning as an Invision Power Board. Due to this drastic change, we can offer no guarantees that any of the old forums’ content will be moved over to the new board system. What can be confirmed is that we will not be making the IPB forums available for any sort of public consultation due to the extent of its damage and potential risk for any viewers. ETA on the new forums is still unknown at this time, but we’re aiming for mid-January.We will be announcing the return of each section as soon as they are back online. Thanks for your understanding.

Why would someone hack all of that stuff?
Trolls, butthurt hackers, Capcom, who knows?
On a related note, will the music section be updated?
Since the music section is currently part of the Wiki, it should come back up at the same time.
As I mentioned below, the music archive is tied to the Wiki. Once the Wiki comes back up, so will our ability to update it.
Do we need to register again in the new forum?

We’ll only know when we decide on our next forum’s software. Importing information from the old one is a priority, but we can’t guarantee anything without testing it.
Stay tuned. We’ll have more details when we’re nearing the forum’s relaunch.
I had been wondering for the longest time of what had became of those things. But man, that’s a shame.
I remember awhile back thinking about helpless I’d be if the gallery ever went down. I never imagined the site got hacked, though. Really sorry that happened, and that you have to now go through repairing it all : (
I will say that even before we were are of the hacking as an issue (which I still believe was just an autonomous bot and nothing with a specifically directed malicious intent), we were planning on doing some vastly new things with how we deliver media. Those plans are still very tenuous, however, which is why we have yet to say anything about it.
No, I mean about the contents of the music section. Since new albums are coming like a stampede, will they also be included in the restored music section?

..the sad part is that it was a bot and not someone specifically stirring up trouble. Would’ve definitely been above average news to hear “TMMN hacked by an angry anti-Capcom mob!”
Jeez, that’s rough. Hope you guys can get everything fixed up and sorted out.
Figures that the forums get hacked just when I have something to actually post there.
Thanks for the heads up I was wondering what happened to the services ,but if anything sorry to hear. I hope it wasn’t too damaging to this place. When the forums get back I think the first thing should be a big thank you for fixing back up the place to tip top shape again.
