A Sneak Peek at the New Contents in R20+5

To those interested in the expanded version of the classic R20: Rockman & Rockman X Official Complete Works, here’s a little taste of what to expect. Rockman Unity has posted some sample images of new bonus artwork by various contributors, as well as a little content coming from Mega Man 9 and Mega Man 10. Of course, with nearly 100 additional pages, this is hardly all that’s new to the book. But for now, take a look and enjoy!

I’m guessing that MMX comic has something to do with Skirts on reploid-gals… Aside for MM9 and 10, what are the other games that came after RM20 that may get some material in this?
I’m holding off on getting the Mega Man X Official Complete Works, just in case this comes out over here.

I doubt if it will have SFxMM, but it may get Street Fighter x Tekken, Mega Man Universe (Ryu and Arthur), Rockman Online and cameos like Project x Zone and MvC3.
And the nice extras. I wonder if someone did art for Ra Thor, Shin Yellow Devil, Ra Moon, Ballade’s 2nd form and the characters from R&FWS. And more MMXCM concept! The Sky Room had 100 images, wound be good to get comments from some of them.
Looking forward to this, I need new inspiration anyway…
In response to having Roll in the front, totally doesn’t show that Mega Man is a series about a little blue robot constantly being overshadowed by his peers.

That is just most likely a page within the book, not a front cover or anything. The artist also likes to illustrate Roll (lets just leave it at that). Also no character outshines Rockman in both content and popularity in the franchise…
@RedrazerZero: ..You sure about that? I thought it was Zero, who just litterally stole the spotlight for being there. I’m pretty sure fans were ESTATIC they could play as Roll in the mobile 1 remake and Powered Up.
The war against Nebula Grey spanned TWO games of the exe series, no less! Lots of Regal eye-candy if you’re into that.

Pretty sure any prominence in female characters is due to the fact the artists like drawing them. Do I need to retrieve Kotobukiya’s Roll puzzle again?

Guys in japan are crazy about small birds that live in Great Britain (aka, the marsh tit).. so what? What I mean is, the blue bomber is constantly one-upped by the new guy in each game, see the pattern here?

Zero never stole the spotlight from Rockman though, and he was specifically designed to take the cool scenes from X. After being denied the main character spot due to designers at Capcom fearing the design changes were too radical to ever be accepted, Zero became popular as heck with the fans, that gave Keiji the incentive to give him a spin-off series. Then this stuff with Legends, Marvel etc happened and now he’s hated by the core fandom (still liked by the general public though, so I’m gooood)…
Yeah, I know more about Rockman EXE than any other game series on the planet, and its one of the very few turn-based RPGs I enjoy playing (so creative, that series, I could do without random battles though)…
Couldn’t they have gone with Alia’s X8 design? That was the better design for her.
Oh well. At least the cover only features the Classic, X, Legends, and EXE series. Those are the true Rockman series.
I love that cover it will be new wallpaper.
Really looking forward to add this to my collection, that Roll crossing the finish line is adorable.

@KK the Prophet: What makes them any more “true” than Zero, ZX, and Star Force? Are there certain credentials that a series needs to have in order to be accepted as a “true” Mega Man series?

Well for one thing, Star Force was never supposed to be a Rockman game, in the same sense that Star Fox Adventure was never supposed to be a Star Fox game. Capcom just slapped the Rockman label on it thinking it would make them money, though the lack of advertising the series got might have been why it didn’t make that much money compared to the others.
Then you have Zero and ZX. They’re not Rockman games. The Zero series is, as the title says, about Zero. There’s really nothing Rockman about the series as it doesn’t play like a Rockaman game. At least with the X series you get the feel of playing a Rockman game. You don’t get that with the Zero series.
With ZX, that series is farther from being Rockman than the Zero series is. None of the of the characters give the feel of being in the Rockman universe like the other series have.

So excited to be getting this! And so glad that I pre-ordered it when I did. It’s sold out everywhere now. Hopefully this will also come stateside as well. And if it does,I’ll buy that version too. =)

Yeah I agree, the X8 Alia is my favorite as well, but you do understand why Haruki didn’t use her in that illustration right? Just for the reassurance of my commonsense, cause like you’re like one of the few that keeps me going in this fanbase…

maybe i should wait another 5 year then i can buy R30 .

I like Alia’s X8 design more because of boob.
Hopefully Udon will turn the extra content into its own book similar to how they cut R20 in half in the first place. (Mega Man Official Expanded Works, perhaps?)

Personally I hated Alia´s Design on X8 because is obviously they just made his boob grew up in order to appael male players, nothing more.

Anyway, there are other changes to the design, and I like the overall design change, not just any one (or two) things.
Of course, the style aids it quite a bit as well.
I’m just gonna say what we’re all thinking and point out that that’s a roll upskirt.
