Mega Man 2 Coming to the 3DS eShop in Europe Early Next Year
Posted on December 6th, 2012 by Heat Man
Good news for folks east of the Atlantic. Nintendo of Europe has announced that the NES classic Mega Man 2 will become available on the 3DS’s eShop sometime in Q1 of 2013. It appears Europe will be getting the classic Mega Man titles in a steady stream, albeit slower than the Japanese releases so far. As for the games coming to North America, well, starting to sound a bit like a broken record, eh?
Thanks to XD375 for the tip!

I love that picture by the way.
Cool, it’s shocking how slow they are bringing the games here, it’s realy that hard?.
Is it so hard to bring Megaman 6 to Wii VC?
I don’t get it… Not that i’m complaining living in Europe & everything but why are Capcom focusing on putting the NES games on the 3DS why not the Gameboy titles?
+ as Cyber Gog says why is it taking so long to put more games up on VC & PSN? It would be nice to have MM6 at least to finish off the NES games let alone MMX3-6 & MM7,8 & R&F
I’m just hoping that Capcom get MM6 up on Japanese PSN soon that way we can at least gain access to it..
funny here in aussie we get same time megaman releases as urope
YESSSS, another virtual console rehash! This is precisely what Mega Man needed to get back on his feet!
Great job, Capcom! You’re my personal hero!
Europe’s chromed out Suppository Man always gives me a good laugh.
Meanwhile, on the U.S. Virtual Console…

@Cyber Gog
Do we really need to answer that at this point?
It’s Capcom.
Is that the European cover art for the original Mega Man 2? I’ve never seen it. It seems to make even less sense than America’s. Why is there a creepy looking cat thing on the rock face? Why is their a silhouetted guy? WHY IS THERE A GIANT ANGLER FISH? Gosh dangit…
@Matt
I can understand the angler fish, the cat face on the other hand… well, you got me…
