Fans Envision “Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Warzone” with Special Guest Mega Man

Here’s something to think about for fun: We’ve already seen Super Smash Bros. Brawl come and go with no appearance from Mega Man, and PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale doesn’t seem to have anyone from the world of the Blue Bomber, either (maybe next time). Meanwhile, SEGA has released SEGA Superstars Tennis and Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing, with the latter getting a sequel coming next month.

It seems that the next logical step would be to create their own game in the “Smash” mold, and why not include Mega Man while they’re at it? Hence this concept by Maximiliano and Leonardo, twins from Chile: “Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Warzone:”

(Skip to 4:04 for the screenshots, or click here.)

At first we thought this was going to be a fan game (and we sort of wish it was), but as it stands, it’s basically just some fun fan art. It’s a neat concept and they put a lot of work into this idea, so we thought it would be fun to share. And if such a game did come to pass, why not include Mega Man? He is teaming up with Sonic in Archie Comics’ “Worlds Collide” storyline next year, after all.

Can’t say I agree with the idea of the Werehog appearing in anything ever again, but it would be nice to see a game like this, yeah XD

  2. Well, if nothing more, even without Mega Man, this seems a lot more interesting to me than Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale. But maybe it’s because I feel more nostalgia for these characters than I do for any of those (except maybe Parappa).

I wouldn’t mind a sequel to Sonic the Fighters, though.

Anywho… I’m still holding out hope that Mega Man could appear in the next Smash Bros. There certainly seems to be enough interest in such a thing.

That’s some sweet fan artwork there.
Too bad it is just a hoax, so we ain’t going to see that game ever happening.

Just like Archie’s “SEGA vs. Capcom” character screen for the “When Worlds collide” promotion.

Well I like the idea better than the Sony All Stars game. But there was way too many characters in that trailer in addition to some 2nd and 3rd party characters who’re probably impossible/unrealistic (Pulseman, Bayonetta, EW Jim, Megaman). Also no Valkyria Chronicles love makes me sad.

  5. @A-Guest “Hoax” implies that the intent was to fool someone.

  6. Murkman says:

What Nytetrayn said. A hoax is meant to try and fool someone. This is no such thing.

@AWDtwit: -and why is that? I don’t see the problem of her being involved in such a thing, were it to occur.

  7. Gaia says:

Trying to get Temjin would be a lot of work, considering his size and that he’s been in the Super Robot Wars games since Alpha 3.

  8. Blue Bombers Cousin says:

uhhhh… i was happy not seeing Seaman in their and then…just down the bottom of the screen X( god that thing is creepy

  9. Cluckingchicken says:

    Earthworm Jim? Yes please.

  10. SketchMan3 says:

Ah! Duude. Larcen and Sketch Turner ftwww!

    Man… Eternal Champions was a rockin’ game…

  11. mirahsan2 says:

Okay…the songs were Awesome! Imagine them remixed for today?

  12. Matthew says:

    They forgot Hatsune Miku!!!!

  13. Duckaiser says:

    Seems like a cool idea…Now, Sega…please?

I for one, love how many Sonic characters there were, partially because I’m actually familiar with them. But, also because I like them.

Still, you’d think at least one series would get more than 1 character if Sonic gets like 10. (Like, Aika please, heh)

  14. EngineR2 says:

What surprised me the most about this thing, was not that they want characters such as Earthworm Jim, Temjin and Mega Man. It was the fact that it took over 3:00 to finally get to a couple of characters that should’ve been at the beginning, Sonic and Tails.

And, as a big Sonic fan, even I have to mention that there are way too many Sonic characters here. The roster needs some work.

  15. xamoel says:

    Yeah,,,
well. the characters are filed by name.
    A-Z

  16. EngineR2 says:

….Wow. How did I not pick up on that? Lol.

  17. A-Guest says:

    @LBD “Nytetrayn”

And so I learned something again :D

Still, I doubt something like this would ever happen with a CAPCOM as it exists currently.
