Rockman Xover Launching Later This Month

Last week, news from Famitsu App indicated that the iOS social RPG Rockman Xover may be releasing sometime soon. Some new details indicates that is very much the case. According to the latest issue of Dengeki Game App, Rockman Xover is expected to release sometime in the tail end of October, i.e. the last third of the month. That means the game could hit the Apple Store as soon as this coming Monday in Japan.
Whatever your stance is on this controversial Mega Man title, one thing is certain: it’s coming. It’s coming soon and there’s nothing you can do about it.

What really bugs me is that this game is what got Capcom’s full effort. Not Legends 3, not more X games, THIS. Yet another non-continuity game on yet another handheld venue.
It may be coming but I don’t have to buy it.

So let me get this straight; Xover is a game nobody asked for. It’s clearly obvious that the majority is not happy about this game. Yet, this is the product Capcom greenlights. MEANWHILE, you have a game like Legends 3 that folks have been practically begging a decade for and THAT gets the boot? Heck, Universe was looking pretty good and people seemed on board with that too, only for that to get shelved as well. So… Don’t give fans what they want and instead force feed them with something that’s obviously been in the fridge for too long. Am I in the ballpark here, Capcom?

No, no, you’ve got it all wrong.
Because this is FREE (to play, DLC most likely NOT free), we, the fans, have no right to complain about the (lack of) effort.
What, you’ve never seen that argument on the internet? I hear it’s pretty popular when someone (inb4 LOLITROLU from a certain fellow) defends this game, and this is their first and foremost argument.
I’ll be honest and say that I would try this game, if I had anything that could run it. I don’t even have a basic cell phone.
I fully expect to see this game translated within months of its Japanese release, so I’ll definitely grab it then.
I’ll get it, I’ve put my grief away a long time ago. I actually want to give this game a try. I Know alot of you guys are burned, from all the crap that has been churning out of late. You guys love megaman too much to let it continue on like this, I get that.
But I want to give this game the benefit of the doubt y’know?
I personally love the franchise too much to let my own disappointments stop me from enjoying a new megaman game thats free to play.
Besides I gotta put SOME games in my new ipod touch =P

Just ftr, Free to Play is not an excuse for bad quality. Even Dungeon Rampage looks better than this.
I just think it’s pretty silly for people to say “I’m not buying this boohoohoo” and “they expect people to buy this???! Oh puhleez” when the product is free. It’s frankly quite silly. But maybe they’re just trolling.

Its free that is true ,but still not amused. I mean the concept is great ,but its executed poorly on a level that makes you wonder what happened. No I think the answer is Capcom done goofed. Hell we are capcom and we think we make games people like. awesome face inserted at the end. Yep makes sense to me guys and gals. No hate I just want to joke and not be serious. I mean what is there to be serious anymore?

“Nothing we can do about it”, huh? How about, f2p or not, we just pay NO sorta mind to Megaman Xover (i.e., not downloading it whatsoever), completely STOP buying into the Capcom brand no matter what sort of disposible income we have, and sit back and watch Capcom’s stocks continue to plummet through the ground like the vengeful masochists we are? Capcom scraps three AAA-grade projects that many a fan, inspiring artist and gamer have put their blood, sweat and tears into realization to which Capcom squats down and squeezes out a game that could literally be created in LESS THAN A DAY. It’s more than the perfect time to say no to Capcom, fanboy, gamer, consumer/customer or otherwise.

Oh for pete’s sake….. This game is really coming out….? I just seen a fan game which is a lot more promising than this…. Seriously…. Oh well, at least I still got Arkham City to keep me entertained for the holidays….
Well I don’t play games on iOS so it was never for me.
I’m just going to keep hoping that one day something good will come…. one day.
All I have to say is that I’m thankful I got both Mega Man 9 and Mega Man 10 before Capcom started cancelling games.
Alright, I’ve calmed down.
Let’s see…
- If this game’s sales number hit the roof, then Capcom probably would release future Megaman titles on iOS.
- If this game’s a bomb, then Capcom would blame the fans for no longer having interest in our lovely blue bomber, and thus, ended the epic blue saga.

Secret plan 3? Yep we are boned. Well only time will tell ,but if megaman goes out like that its more sad than any cancellation we’ve dealt with in the past 2 years. Just the thought of that happening sends quite hit towards one of my childhood pastimes.
Oh yes there is something we can do about it!
Just don’t buy it! Boycott it if you have to and if you must play it, go to new grounds and play that version instead.
