Looks awesome! I definitely hope I win.
I would love to have this set T_T
Err mah gerd I want this.
Before anyone gets too excited, those are Region 2 DVDs, readable only in Japan and Europe. Unless you’ve got a compatible player, all you’re getting is a nice set of collectibles!
@Dr. Cossak thats what I was wondering, I don’t want a set I can’t watch…
I also noticed the spines read “Rental.” Aside from a slightly different box design, I’m not sure how this varies from the normal retail version. I wonder what’s different.
@ Dr. Cossack
Computers can play these dvd’s so all is not lost
i have the whole series
I hope it’s playable on a blue ray player, and Axess is nice, but I’d rather get stream and have the disks subbed or dubbed in English…
@adngo714: Now that’s just crazy talk.
@Steven Chase
Which part is crazy talk?
Stream subbed or dubbed into English.
Looks cool, but too bad it’s in Japanese only.
I have a couple of the Japanese DVDs, including the first Axess disc. They are extremely bare-bones, but it’d be nice to have them all at the highest possible quality picture, even if it means not having any kind of subtitle options.
Most computers are region-free and can play foreign DVDs, but a lot of them have a limit on how many times you can “switch” your region. (Which I never truly understood.)
I’m not sure about BluRay players, but it should be no different than DVD players: some are region-locked, and some are not. You can look up your device and see what regions it supports. I know there are some very cheap region-free DVD players on the market.
wasn’t really a fan of the battle network games, but i loved the anime.
sure hope this comes with english subs! XD
@tj4real: They do not.
Got a region-free DVD player, and enjoyed the EXE anime – would definitely be nice if I won this!
