e-Capcom’s Rockcan Getting Loaded with Even More Music (Updated with Complete Track List)

New details coming in for the Rockman 1~10 “Rockcan” music collection is coming in, and Rockman 8‘s Sega Saturn tracks aren’t the only bonuses the set is getting. e-Capcom reveals even more music goodness. First, both of the Rockman Special CDs, released as promo items for Rockman 5 and Rockman 6 and containing arranged tracks by Alpha Lyla, will be included. Second, Capcom is also throwing in unused music from Rockman 7 that is still found on the game’s ROM. Do those bonuses make the ¥14,700 price tag seem reasonable to you?

The Rockcan is still on track to release September 19th, and although it’s an e-Capcom exclusive, PRC reports that CD Japan is getting some stock for importers as well, if you don’t mind shelling out over $200 US. Might be expensive, but it’s definitely turning out to be a comprehensive collection! You can hear many more samples on the e-Capcom product page.

UPDATE: Via 4Gamer.net, we now know the complete track list for the Rockcan, and as you can imagine it’s pretty long. There are 453 songs total! Therefore, you an find the full list after the break below. You’ll thank us for it.

  1. Rock Miyabi says:

    Nice to see the paint bucket with a shiny coat of paint finally. As much as I still think it’s too pricey (like basically everyone else), I guess if you’re looking at $28 per CD, that’s as cheap or slightly cheaper than most imports. But it’s still way too much considering what’s on those CDs. Maybe if they’re totally discounted on eBay when nobody’s willing to buy them…

    I think I’m more interested in seeing what’s all on that booklet’s cover and inside of it, than anything.

  2. RADIX says:

    Those Special CDs and unused MM7 track still don’t justify paying $200 for something that’s 90% “already widely available elsewhere” by volume.

  3. Emmanuelf06 says:

    Exactly RADIX…..It’s boring….i prefer wait the new arrange album…..(with mm2 remix too -________-)

  4. ProtoZero says:

    Put in the X and Zero and ZX and Legends and starforce and battle network And LMAFO and make orchestrated and I think we’ll have a deal.

  5. rockman says:

    It looks super sexy, same that they did go a little further adding more music, from M&B or other classic games.

  6. RCase says:

    Looks good but sorry to say i cant get over how SF fans get more for less. So no i don’t think its worth it.

    Im not trying to come down on it, Im sure it will be a great collection but its price is putting me off.

  7. Advent Axl says:

    No. . . just no.

  8. Stefan says:

    Add in the unused music for RM8 (mainly frostman’s theme) Capcom,and I might consider buying.

  9. Heat Man says:

    @Stefan: Really? I mean, I know you’re probably being facetious, but one single track is gonna be the tipping point of whether or not you’d want to drop $220 US? I’d at least ask for the Mega Man V GB tracks too…

  10. GirlaPH says:

    Mega Man Soundtrack with more music on it?

    SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!

  11. TheRedPriest says:

    That is damn sexy, but the price is really a bit much. Still, I might break down and get it…

  12. Davis says:

    great yet another soundtrack i have like 5 copys of just sounds a lil different from each other… maybe if they made a new MegaMan game they could use their… oh god i dont dare say Talent.. not the right word um… company skills? they might make some thing that sounds new rather then saying *oh look we have remixed all the MegaMan games 1-10 all ready =D like 5 times each game and now were about to sell it again boy howdy…* i sure would like everyone to stop buying the same stupid jive released by Capcom so some thing would get done about their repeat crap theres no skill even for the guy on the mixing bored at this point flat dumb ILL KEEP MY MONEY CAPCOM ID RATHER BUY A JUSTIN BEAVER CD!!!!! i must now go remove my left gonad for such a comment but capcom did it to me

  13. Lumine1412 says:

    Yikes, guys, this item is not for listening, it’s for collector values!

  14. aquila0109 says:

    Meh… just meh…

  15. Matt says:

    Adding more stuff to it doesn’t change the fact that I can’t afford it. It’d be different if they were all remixes and not the original soundtracks. Like the Remastered Rockman Zero CDs. Those are awesome!

  16. Bassnium says:

    The only thing I want them to add now are composer and arranger credits in that booklet.

    I Also like how they took everything Team Entertainment stood for with their formerly exclusive RM7 & RM8 releases and made them look so incredibly unprofessional.

  17. What people often don’t seem to realize is that audio on CDs is often vastly superior to rips. Just sayin’

  18. Zippo says:

    As much as I want this, no. That asking price is just too much.

  19. ManwholovesRockamusic says:

    Hmmm what now? Oh 200 ducketts will be wasted? Hmm no that my bills money almost all of it. Hope when someone buys it they post on the music page or on youtube just can’t afford it as much I love the bucket part. if they were selling just the buckett I’d buy it because I’ll fill it with Kool Aid or something.

  20. Airman says:

    OHHHH SOOOOO COOL!!!

    But SOOOOO expensive!!!

  21. MegaManSonicDude says:

    That’s lots of tracks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  22. RADIX says:

    @Everbound Venvel: It’s still too expensive. :/

  23. gutsman004 says:

    Pretty pricey,but holy crap look at all that Rockman music goodness! And the E-Can case is perfect! Even though it;s pricey I definitely will be buying this at some point.

  24. Davis says:

    buying some thing you can get for free is a waste and thats just common sense on another note its a waste to remix what has been remixed over 10,000 times and as for the Collectors value… some of us have a life and just like to play the game not live in it… like a False dream

  25. Tony Ponce says:

    @RCase

    The Street Fighter collection is $150, but that’s its price here in the US. Japan charges out the nose for entertainment media. If it were to be released over there, I guarantee it would be far more expensive than the Rockcan.

    @Davis

    The thing about getting this stuff for “free” is that it’s not technically legal. This collection is a legal means to acquire those goods. I know we’ve all downloaded our fair share of music in the past, but it really isn’t a valid excuse when legal options are available.

    Honk yours,these collection is the most value in the MM’s 25th birthday ¬¬

  27. Jhooqe says:

    @everbound

    If only that were the case for the previous official 1~7 albums. Alas, they sound fuggin’ turrible.

    If they do good this time around on 1~7, it’ll be worth the money for me. :)

    It’s also nice that they’ll have the Alpha Lyla stuff. My only major gripe now is no Rockman and Forte and no Game Boy exclusive tunes.

  28. Kyo Kusanagi says:

    Shut the honk up Yagami.

  29. baconkong says:

    Where’s Rockman & Bass?
    Where’s the arranged music for 7 (used in Power Fighters)?
