Tron and Servbots joining Project X Zone
New Mega Man characters are joining into the cross battle, according to the latest Famitsu. Tron Bonne and her Servbots (or at least one of them) will be part of the game along with X and Zero. Curiously, in what’s appeared in Famitsu so far, Tron does not seem to use her Gustaff mecha. However, she does get to put her Servbots to great use, and even rides atop a giant one. Also, it’s hard to make out, but it appears Tron and co. are fighting the dreaded Sharukurusu Reaverbot. That WOULD have to appear.
We have confirmed as well that the characters will retain their previous voice performers, with Mayumi Izuka voicing Tron, and Chisa Yokoyama voicing the Servbot(s).
We’ll do our best to keep you posted as more developments turn up. Stayed tuned!
Update: Image added! Thanks, Magnet_Man!

Cool! Tron and Servbots just fit really well into crossovers I think! Here’s hoping for even more Mega Man characters incoming!
Sweet, very nice that they will be added, welcomed additions.
Wow, they really are just cross over material. I mean since MVC2 onwards they’ve been like a staple in cross overs. Pretty cool knowing that Tron and Servebots will yet again be gracing a cross over. Ha it’s kind of funny too and odd. I was joking to myself like, hmm wonder if Tron will pop up anywhere and bam.
I think Tron is something of a pet character among developers. That’s why she’s used so often.
Tron is a pretty cool modern villainess. She comes off as a mild teenage personality, but with brains, a cautiously “tsundere” attitude, and access to heavy weaponry.
Well that’s a pleasant surprise. She’s actually one of my fave characters in the MvC series ,not only because of her being a Mega Man character, but because she’s fun! XD Here’s to (maybe) more Mega Man characters!
Tron is a great character for crossover titles because she doesn’t necessarily look the Mega Man part. She could be from anything if you weren’t already familiar with her, she’s a mature female (Roll Caskett wouldn’t work in this case because her name gives away the Mega Man-ness), and like Omar said, she’s got the goods- er, guns.
Plus Servbots are just about as much a symbol of Mega Man as the Blue Bomber himself, and you can’t have them without Tron.
Woohoo, Tron!
Is it bad that I’m more excited about Reiji and Xiaomu being revealed?
I’m glad to see Tron appear again of course it’s just, I don’t know, the way how they keep throwing Tron and Servbot everywhere, yet Capcom has no confidence in making a game featuring them. It feels patronizing at times. But that’s what Darkstalkers fans have been putting up with and for much longer.
Since she’s paired with someone, hopefully she won’t be a solo unit and will be fully usable. I just hope they use more attacks from the games and not just copy / paste that made up nonsense from MvC2 again.
japanese people sure loves that metal thing huh? hhaha XD
Hmmm… since Namco X Capcom was strictly Legends series characters, I was expecting Project X Zone to be strictly X series characters. Now that I see they’re mixing things up, I wonder what else we could end up with, if more Mega Man characters are added…
@Heat Man
I’d sure like to have Tron as my pet.
goddammit, I was really hoping these assholes would be kept out of this crossover. No use complaining now I suppose.
hmm, if they put more mega man characters into the game… I might just have to buy it…
I think these guys would make good combos that haven’t cameod in any games yet:
bass and treble
Giroette and Vent/Aile
Viile and Dynamo
Guts man and Cut man
Tengu man and Astro Man
Bit and Byte
Sigma (X4) and Double
Duo and High Max
also, good character combos that have been in games:
Mega Man Walnut and Roll Casket
mega man and rush
Zero and Ciel
Mega man.exe and roll.exe
Zero and Zero from network transmission?
Nice to see then again. Hope their spritework which may be from namco x capcom oh well its nice to see them anyways.
- Zero and Ciel
I will so buy this day one if this gets localized.
But how would Ciel aid Zero in battle? Shoot out cyber elves? Holographic Projections that look like weapons?
@ManwholovesRockamusic: None of the other characters are using recycled sprites from Namco X Capcom, so I doubt that. As far as I can see, this game has completely new sprites.
I’m curious about the image in the upper right hand corner. You can see X & Zero in there, is that promo artwork or a cut-scene from the game?
Thank you based Banpresto.
Also it’s great to see so many old friends meeting up again now that Reiji and Xiao Mu are back.
@Clown Prince of Crime
Really? Okay than its great capcom’s not being lazy or the other two companies are doing the better part and that is get Capcom off their lazy recycling habits. Defently a worth while buy ,but it probably be quite a long time before I invest into a 3DS.
Or if there is any idea if this games gets out of Japan…
Tron get’s work, this makes me happy!
This was from a batch of scans of the latest Famitsu that shows the other characters revealed, Reiji & Xiaomu along with Bahn.
There was also a fourth page that showed screens from the animated opening that will be featured. You can see a snip of it in the upper corner with X and Zero standing alongside Kos-Mos and T-elos. It has some great shots of all the sword users posing and all the gun users lined up.

@ManwholovesRockamusic: The game’s being developed by Banpresto (which is part of Namco Bandai), so the only thing that Capcom (and Sega, for that matter) is doing is licensing out their characters.
And now that there’s an image, it’s even more obvious that they’re not recycling sprites. In Namco X Capcom, Tron was inside of her Gustaff (or at least, a pink version of the MvC Gustaff), but here there doesn’t seem to be a Gustaff anywhere to be seen… which I find a little odd, I’ll admit, but at the same time, kind of interesting.
@Clown Prince of Crime
Well damn so they are just licensing? Well thats no fun. Damn. LOL Nevermind I am more interested in the character reveals if anything and the sprite work because thats the art right there.
What, no Gustaff? I wonder how effective Tron’s Servbots will be without some mecha power to back them up.
@ Matthew: Seems like promo artwork to me.
Hmmm…pictures now. It really looks like Tron will be a “solo” character. Which I think means they can be used by themselves, or as an assist character for a duo.
It shows her attacking with X and Zero after all.
It would have been funny if Tron and Servbot were a team, but I guess not.
Great!
Now I can team up Servbot with X and Zero. Not much of a Tron fan.
@Dr. Ciel
It won’t be localized, especially because Atlus has license to the banpresto originals in the US.
Sorry, bro.
@ Glitcher
They’re nigh-indestructible, so I’d assume a giant Servbot would be a step up from the Gustaff (or maybe it’s out for repairs, who knows?)
i love you tron
So now we have X, Zero and Tron?
Why couldn’t we get this lineup for UMvC3? :p
Where is everyone getting that Servbot is its own character…? I’m pretty sure the Servbots are just part of Tron Bonne’s moves.
Well… I guess the scans do list them as “Tron & Kobun”, but still… the screenshots of gameplay make it seem like they’re not really separate characters.
@NEO: Nigh indestructible? Tell that to my Mega Buster. Megaman can knock them over just by walking into them, lol.
Also, LOL at the reactions of all the MvC players to “Tron without her Gustaff!!?!??!”
@Dr.Ciel
She could use cyber elves on zero, use attack ones herself, and call in resistance members.
