Crowdsource Inspiration Presents: Robotic Dreams

A couple of days ago on Twitter, Kavalier Calm (@inspiredcrowd) tipped us off to a new song he’d written and posted to his Tumblr called “Robotic Dreams.” The song came from a suggestion for “a song about Mega Man, how he’s no different than a lamp or vacuum, a machine that’s built for killing other robots and will never change.”

“I met that request and added a pinch of pity and a slab of philosophy,” notes Calm.

We can’t host the song here, due to the embedded file, but you can hear it for yourself through this link, and follow along with the lyrics at the bottom.

Cool. It hit my heart strings.

Not even gonna list the references. Very well done.

Any chance you guys could post that picture with better resolution? It looks freaking adorable and cool.

  3. …then you’ll see how bad my Photoshopping skills really are. ;P It’s from the cover of the bonus CD for the Irregular Hunter X/Rockman Rockman double pack in Japan, and there is much, much more to the pic that way. ;P

Simple yet deep… this song is lovely. Even more the reason I am glad to be a Mega Man fan, with those philosophical aspects that come up time and time again. ^.^
