Rockman Headed to Japanese 3DS Virtual Console

Feel like buying Mega Man over again?
Rockman will be released on Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console on July 18th for ¥500. No word yet on the possibility of a North American/European release.

That’s not overpriced at all. I mean, it’s not like we can get the enhanced version for 3 bucks on PSN or the entire collection for about 15 or so on eBay.
The game’s $6 on PSN, so I don’t know what you’re talking about, HeatPhoenix.
I wonder why they didn’t make this a 3D NES game like Excitebike. Didn’t they have a demo of Mega Man 2 with 3D depth before the 3DS launched?

Sad that it’s not a 3D Classic like LanceHeart said; excited for the possibility of Mega Man 3 though (I’ll buy it no matter what)!
My only true disappointment is that you need to buy this a second time if you already own the Wii version. This is one of the very few things Sony actually does better consumer-wise.

The only Mega Man games I have on My Wii are 9 and 10. I want those ported over to my 3DS. The original Mega Man on my 3D console…

Although I with they could add in Oil Man and Time Man from Powered Up and make it 3D. But beggars can’t be choosers. Capcom finally gets my money this year. (Other than the Archie Comic.)
Here goes my hopes of a Mega Man classic collection for 3DS, they are going to sell 1 to 6 separately and probably they will not bother to port 9 and 10.
I mean where else are you gonna get mega man 1 on a portable? That is except the japanese PSone classic import off the PSN on your psp (but not the Vita, because that thing sucks) or even getting the remake for about the same price, which has the same game plus more included.
I think the PSP wins when it comes to classic mega man portable.
Interesting. Here’s hoping that the rest of the Gameboy games are being developed in the meantime.

the games did go on sale for a week on PSN, I got MM3 for $3, so that’s prolly where you got the price from
Well it is nice to have to option to play it on the 3DS. But I’m still waiting for a re-release of Mega Man 8.

I like Mega Man 1, but i have powered Up and the Mega Man collection on PS2 so no i wont be buying this. But hey any of you that dont have it and have a 3DS i say go for it, or get the PS1 classic version on PSN

Hm, my problem is i have the Original Megaman 1 NES Cartridge, the Wily Wars Cartridge with the 16 Bit Remake and the Anniversary Collection. I also buyed the Game for the WII Virtual Console. The only thing why i buy this when it is released here is that i can play the NES Classic when i’m sitting in a bus or train. My god, Capcom should to a new Megaman Game and not re release the old ones over and over again.
I wouldn’t mind ports and sequels of Powered Up and MHX on the 3ds. Frankly I think the two would do better on the 3ds instead of the PSP and Vita. Also I’m getting tired of individual releases that take months to release. When are we gonna get releases of Megaman 7+8 and X3-6? ._. Release something besides just the Nes games, PLEASE.
