SDCC 2012 to Host Archie Mega Man & Sonic Panel
Just a quick heads-up for those who will be attending the San Diego Comic Con.
From 10:00 to 11:00 am on Sunday, July 15th, Archie will be hosting a panel in Room 24ABC called “Sonic and Mega Man: Video Game Comics Showcase.” Thanks to Sockie, the following description is provided by ComingSoon.net‘s schedule for the event:

Oh that reminds me, seeing as there’s just a sad picture of MegaMan in the “Release Dates” window why not put the release dates for some of the non-game MegaMan stuff. Like that Vile toy, or the graphic novels by Archie Comics, even that 25th anniversary CD set

“The biggest comic book event of the year”? Oh my, those are some pretty ambitious words. I don’t want to speculate too much, but the only thing that really comes to my mind is a crossover between Sonic and Mega Man (which would be friggen’ AMAZING).
That pic reminds me of another one in which Classic Sonic was shaking hands with Classic Mega Man.
Looks like they still keep in touch.

Oh man, it’s so good to see that picture without the horrific muscular dwarf-man-child Mega Man of the late 80s.
That picture is so great. Mega Man and Sonic would go pretty well together, I’d love to finally see that happen some day…
Oh, right, comics. Well, I think it’s a possibility they might do a Sonic and Mega Man crossover. But who knows. Oh…silly Comic-Con, I went about 3 times, a few years before it got “big” and it got so hard to get in. I haven’t bothered trying in a long time…oh well.
Offhand, I’d say that Sonic’s world of Mobius is within the SAME Timeline as the MegaMan series, and going to 200X in the past would mean a teamup between MegaMan and Sonic against Dr. Eggman and Dr. Wily.
Mega Man and Classic Sonic, Mega Man X and Modern Sonic?
Well my first guess for the “big event” would be the Sonic/Mega Man crossover, though I’d rather waiting to see.
