Bandai D-Arts VAVA – Photo Report
Yep, Bandai’s D-Arts VAVA figure (Vile to us) is now shipping in Japan. This was a Tamashi Web exclusive here, and while those in North America should be able to buy it via the regular means, there was only a short window of time that people in Japan could order from Bandai directly. Perhaps it will come to stores later, but that’s to see for another time.
Above are some pictures I took of the figure I got today, though sadly I don’t have a phenomenal camera, and I’m not great at posing figures. However, there’s plenty more to see after the break – numerous other photos of fans showing off their VAVA figures in action. These are gathered from 2channel, but you can enjoy them here without having to look at the ads for adult comics. Unless you’re into that sort of thing. Then, sorry.

The word from Bluefin Tamashii Nations USA is that Vile comes to US at SDCC and then general release immediately after (source: their Facebook page)

OOOOOH I can’t wait I can’t wait. Got one preordered at Bigbadtoystore, but I don’t know when they’re gona get ‘em to ship. Hopefully that’s still happening. This’ll be at the absolute top of my list of toys – in everything I own.

Are the elbow joints the same as the other
D-Arts Megaman line? Because if so then it sucks! I recently purchased Zero type2 and his left forarm part that you can switch from the Z-Buster, it WON’T STAY ON!!!! UGHHHHHH!!!!! Even when it peg goes into the hole, once I move it comes out!!!!! What’s with these joints!!!!

Megafan, sounds like you just had yourself a bad run of luck. I’ve purchased both versions of X and Zero and all the joints and connectors have remained solid on mine even after a year of constant posing. It could be that there was a molding imperfection in the connector portion of your Z-buster.
My Vile arrived yesterday and man was it worth every penny. The only thing that could make it any better is if it included a swap out head to have the Maverick Hunter “V” helmet as an option.
