Covers and Solicitation for Archie’s Mega Man #17
A new day, a new solicitation for Archie’s Mega Man comic book series. This time, we’re looking at two new covers as issue #17 is set to reveal the origin of everyone’s favorite Red Rocker, Proto Man!
But, there’s something more to this issue… something rather interesting, at that. But so as to avoid spoilers, you’ll have to read the solicitation in the quote box below in order to learn what it is.

Interesting, yes. It does make a certain bit of sense, though, when you consider that game’s story.
Is it just me, or did the colorist change for the covers? I… can’t say I like the coloring of the right one. It seems… off.

CONCRETE MAN?
Are we already hopping to introducing the MM9 bots in the next arc?
It makes sense that the MM9 Robot Masters would appear prior to any MM9 story arcs. They’ve reached their expiration dates in the MM9 story, right? So they must exist for quite a while prior to that happening.
Man, I was really hoping that this would happen, regarding the MM9 robot masters! The 10s could appear, too, I think, if this line of logic is followed.

I’m surprise about Concrete Man, I mean it makes sense that MM9 robot masters were created sometime before the game, but as earlier as pre MM3?.
maybe they’re created after all, then mm9 hits, they were destined to join the scrap heap and thats why wily convinced them to fight., makes sense actually.
Yay! Blues! Though I was hoping for a Spaz cover featuring the red loner, the above are nice too.
After collecting the first 12 issues, I told myself I’d wait for the TPB version of the next 6, but its difficult for the intro of Mega Man’s older bro.
To be fair, I had always believed that Pump Man was one of Dr. Light’s earlier creations, so it wouldn’t be that much of a shock to see that character being introduced at this point.
Also, I cannot wait to see these two heavy hitters clashin’ about their own beliefs on engineering and construction, especially since in Concrete Man’s bio, that character claims to be quite the perfectionist.
A change of pace and DAMN!!!
It’ll be nice to see the MM9 bots, I think it’ll add a lot to the story by having MM team up with non MM1 RMs for once. Not to mention we were never really given an idea of what the MM9 bots are really like anyway outside the Megamix oneshot and the RM guide.

So Proto Man is Self Aware instead of what Capcom officially has why he is “Damaged”? That Makes a whole lotta sense actually of him being Self Aware.
All of the Robot Masters are self aware, they just don’t have total free will. What they mean by that is he’s the first robot who could think, followed by Rock and Roll and the Robot Masters.
Anyway I’ve been looking forward to seeing how Archie handles Proto Man. Can’t wait!
I was always curious to know more about Proto Man’s origins.

i only wish that ProtoMan was a seperate Arc without mega and the others of Archie comics,
which will have a new volume to the series
and will tell all the origins of Protoman and his adventure,
not like this, that still focus on megaman (even though megaman is the hero)
with 2 story arcs and will reconnect to the main story…
isnt that interesting rather than going again and again with a single issue

So both covers will be available? The one on the left is awesome. I also told myself I would stop getting the comics and only focus on the trades, but Protoman is the best character.
