Marvel vs. Capcom 2 Now Available on iOS
Posted on April 25th, 2012 by LBD "Nytetrayn"

Just a quick reminder, in case you missed it a couple of days ago: Coinciding with next week’s release of The Avengers movie, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is now available for iOS platforms through Apple’s iTunes/App Store. Capcom notes that this title utilizes a new “flick button” control style, “giving you an easier way to access more advanced attacks on a touch screen.”
And, until May 6th, you can get it for the introductory rate of $2.99. After May 6th, you’ll have to pay $4.99 to get Mega Man, Roll, Tron Bonne, and a Servbot to kill the Marvel universe.

Man… you got my hopes up with that picture of a modern style Megaman and Iron Man battling =(
I thought this was going to be about MVC3… =,(
Bad dragon, very bad…
it’s pretty cool that they are releasing it alongside the Avengers movie.
Meh…
Sketch: …what? It’s an actual, official piece of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 promo art that we’ve run before. It even says Marvel vs. Capcom 2 on it. =P
I know that now, but I’d never seen it before, lol (or had forgotten). All I saw at first glance was the artwork. My brain somehow put the number “3″ into it. :X
I feel even more silly, because the 2 is SO conspicuous. I guess I was just ready to be pleasantly surprised, lol.
Sorry to have made that the first comment, lol. Hope it doesn’t color subsequent comments (hopefully they recognize the art better than I did)
=S
Cool. I’ve still got my Mega Man vs War Machine figures from the Marvel vs Capcom 2 toy line. Best Christmas ever.
I got an ipad so it might be more playable than in the ipod but there is something about it that is just wrong maybe the simplefy buttons or dunno I think i’ll pass this one after all i got it on my PS2
CAPCOM just loves to milk it for what it’s worth.
Played on friends iPad….
Sentinel is a nightmare to deal with, and all the older combos are harder to pull off. The lack of a solid controller ruins everything, especially the flick stuff.
this game is not meant for ipods or iphones. I still somehow doubt that I would enjoy this on an ipad. As someone said, this is meant for a physical controller.
And this makes me wonder, if they can port all of the original graphics and stages, albeit a little watered down, they could have done the same thing for MMX on iOS. They could have ported the version they made for MMX: Collection, with the save files, and it would have been fine.
I have absolutely been enjoying this on my iPad and iPhone. It has all the features it did on PS2 and it was only $3!!!!
I don’t understand people complaining about a $3 port of one of the most enjoyable Versus games int he series.
The controls aren’t perfect but you can change the buttons and layout and its workable and can still be enjoyable. If you have an Apple TV you could even use Airplay and play it on your big screen. It;s no MvC 3 but then again its not supposed to be and it’s only $3!!!!
Its a great buy for that price and I am very satisfied with it. I had such a hard time trying to play my PS2 version on my iPhone and iPad so this is a nice substitute.
@Josh: They learned their lesson.
They should port Megaman Soccer to the iPhone. That would actualy work very well.
Sketch: I still want Capcom to team with Nintendo and Next Level for a new Mega Man’s Soccer… Mario Strikers style.
I wish somewhere in the future Capcom release this to Android especially the Xperia Play, just imagine playing thins with the Play´s gamepad and sixaxis on other androids.
