Not a Rumor: D-Arts Zero Type 2 Coming in May (Updated)
Last week we posted on some talk that Bandai had Zero Type 2 at the ready for the May releases in Japan. I doubt anyone had a reason to doubt it, but nevertheless it’s really happening. And here is a sweet, sweet promotional image just to show you they mean business. No details are known yet of the figure’s features and extra parts, but if this image along with what was shown off at Tamashii Nation is any indication, there will be at least two saber parts.
Zero Type 2 was listed among the choices in Bluefin’s own Facebook character poll, and given Bandai’s flawless track record of bringing over the X series characters, I think North America can look forward to saying “hello” to Zero Type 2 in short order.

looks amazing, I still think the torso is a little too long but I will purchase it anyway. Bandai is doing an amazing job, I hope they start doing d-arts from the classic series too.
OK that is a cool image..
@rockman
You know, that was a big complaint I had pre-purchase as well, but I’ve been so happy with my other figures that I apparently accepted that flaw and even forgot about it until you mentioned it.
Vile is the only one I’m still iffy on but I’m starting to wonder if he’s even going to be released, so it may be moot.
saving for him!!! i want all his version, can´t wait to zero x3.
@HELLCIUS
Actually TYPE 2 Zero comes with his buster from X3, so it’s supposed to be X3 Zero. I don’t think they’ll do many more versions of Zero outside of the eventual black armor version that will most likely be a con exclusive.
@MegaSeveN: Awwww, I was hoping for an X8 variant. Those proportions and desgins were pretty nice actually.
Well, now that he’s done, AXL!!! AXL!!! AXL!!!
Oh no wait. SIGMA! SIGMA! SIGMA!
SIGMA! SIGMA! SIGMA!
The torso looks fine to me on this version but on version one it does seem long for some reason.
But what is really getting to me is that the saber is blue!!!!!!!! It’s supposed to be green!!!!!!!! I know in official art work and promos and stuff it’s blue, but in the games it’s green.
And I swear, they better of fixed the STUPID flaws of the joints and paint errors!!!!!!!!!!!!
ITTOU RYOUDAN
Yeah, Zero! Lookin’ sharp. Will purchase.
Sigma would definitely be a great choice for the next figure.
Is Amiami having it up for pre-orders yet?
Am I the only one that actually prefers the blue saber to the green saber? I dunno, I guess I always took the official art as “what the character is supposed to look like”, and chalked up any differences in the sprites as merely being the limitations of the SNES hardware.
Ideally, though, the figure would come with two sabers (blue and green) to satisfy everyone.

have u guys seen this?
@Frøg
Why are you asking that here?! Just go check on their site! lol!
@Rockman Who cares if the torso is a little bit too long? Do you have a Zero figure as cool like that or better in your home? I doubt it. Besides I believe that Zero will have the appropriate proportions because he is supposed to be taller than X. Also to those blue saber haters, Zero does carry a blue saber in Mega Man X 6 when you give him his Z-saber +1 upgrade. So in other words the figure is carrying a more powerful saber.
just wondering this for a very long time… why’s zero’s buster is different to one of his arm? i mean his red… and… urrgh..
and i hate the US release… they just slap stickers on RockMan X to Mega Man X… then the rockman gold seal is nowhere to be found..
(i love the gold seal btw)
RayZX beat me to my complaint. The only box that came in English was the SDCC Metallic X. I think I’m going to get the rest of the figures imported so I get the gold Rockman seal.
if you’re really digging for the gold seal, may i remind you to buy the Mega House RockMan Collectibles (keychain)
those tiny box got the gold stickers too!
this is really cool, I hope eventually they make an absolute Zero version, that would be great.
His saber changes colors when it’s upgraded, If I recall correctly. So green is always the color of the weakest blade. It was pink in X4.
@Slider
That is SO true! I completely forgot about that! Well green isn’t his weakest, more like his standard one basically. But whats they blue one from? Other than just official art work and pics and such.
The slashing saber looks quite big, I wonder if it’ll come with a base too like Full Armor X.
SO EXCITED! I am definitely getting this for sure! LOVE the picts! Zero is my fav and this version looks awesome! can’t wait
Zero’s saber is been base more on the artworks than anything else specially the first pic been reference to an X4 pic, i believe his saber is more of a bluish light green instead of been pure green, is just that in the game they make the saber green to make it easy to make.
As for the Zero Buster, indeed there was a Zero buster in red color but it was in X2 but a different design, the buster this figure has is from X3, X5 and X6 which has red color with a crystal on one side and white in the other.
so far the Zero figure looks sweet, my only complain would be they should have the ear parts of his helmet white instead of silver. but nevertheless its still awesome.
@RayZX About Zero’s buster color; It’s probably a different color from Zero’s armor(white) for the same reason that Megaman X’s armor upgrades are a different color from his armor(white).
I couldn’t tell you what the reason for THAT is, though. Maybe Zero’s buster was a present from Dr. Light, lol.
Where’s that “shut up and take my money” pic? ‘Cause they need to take my money. I’d subscribe to these things if I could.
^____________^ Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes YES! ALL MY MONEY!!
@ZeroX_Syaoran: Nah, it’s okay, you were right the first time. AXL!!! AXL!!! AXL!!!
yes, we need axl too, but i hate to say this… but we need maverick enemies…
I like Zero with his saber, but……..why da **** HE LOST HIS BUSTER??? WHY??? there´s no need to do this, he could carry both!!!!
Drooling BIG TIME!!! Finally…
@Hellciusms:
he didnt lose it, he has it right there. That’s the Second buster design, used in X3 and X5′s cutscenes and artwork. (and X6 in game)
the X2 buster is the mostly red one. Which he used in X2, and also had in X3 and X5 in-game
@HELLCIUSMS
Looks like you never played the X games before huh?
As for me, i’m very glad hes coming with his buster! I wonder if he’ll come with a effect part too for the buster?
I just wish they would have added the silver collar around his neck. That’s the only detail I can find missing on this figure. They even put it on his V1 version, don’t know why they haven’t added it to this figure too.
@RMuzzy
If this is suppose to represent X4 official art, (seeing as how the main image was possibly based on a X4 official artwork) he shouldn’t have the silver collar on his pad. Actually most official images of Ver.2-Zero don’t have the collar, it is only present in X2, X4(in game dialogue box, start and select character screen image and cutscenes), and CM from what I can tell.
Hmmmmm, I’ll have to take a closer look at the artwork in different games. They have added it to his character model in both Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, and Marvel vs. Capcom 3, so I’ve become used to seeing it. I prefer it being there, and it would slightly help keep his neck from looking as long as it does on the figure.
I better hurry and get the first version before it costs as much as X. On amazon X is going for 100+. I font wanna wait until Zero is that rare!
Just a heads up to anyone that might want it:
The figure is now available for pre-order off of Ami Ami

@Tornado Man
Nah, I could still get X and Zero for their retail prices in my local hobby stores. Plus I save on time and shipping by purchasing them there. Online some people over price because they think it’s rare like some of the old model kits just because they say X. Like I’ve seen some listings of X on eBay that say it’s rare, but it’s still new and mass produced. How is it rare while you can find them almost everywhere online? lol! It won’t be rare for a VERY long time.
I can just imagine the Zero that I’m gonna buy is being produced right know in a huge factory. It’s carefully being assembled by automated machines and pretty soon will be boxed and shipped to the US. After I lose some green it will finally stand proudly next to my X in an epic battle against my SH Figuarts Goku and Vegeta! Muahahahahaha!
fffff! pre-orders are already sold out! Blue Fin is going to be my only hope for getting him :<
I don’t know why you people pre- order for? lol! Its mass produced! Theres going to be thousands of them made and be around for a long time. Like when you get the email saying that its been shipped, i’ll have mine shipped to from another source, same price and all. What’s the point of locking in your figure when its going to come out 3 months from now? You won’t be getting anything special or bonus like sometimes games or some figures do, but not these.
For anything Bandai makes, especially if its popular, its always a good idea to preorder. Thanks to the current economic situation, they’ve lowered their production quantities in order to not have excess stock left. For proof just look at their S.H. Figuarts lines. They pre-sell out in a few hours on all the import retailers.
