Merti Appears in Color (Primarily Flesh)

H’ooooooh man. We’re not gonna need to install an age gate on this site are we? Here is the basic color cast of Yama Tai Koku’s Merti garage kit, commissioned by Rockman X manga writer Yoshihiro Iwamoto himself. If you could attend Wonder Fest next month and purchase the kit, this is essentially what you’d end up with without any additional painting. It’s not terrible actually; most garage kits come in plain gray.

Along with the photo, additional kit details were also revealed on figure site FG. The kit was essentially designed to match the proportions of the D-Arts Rockman X figures. It will include three facial expressions, three hand types, and Merti’s spear-like weapon. The joints, which are typical consumer figure joints, must be purchased separately. There is no word on whether or not the kit will come with decals for the finer details, such as eyes. If you do come to Wonder Fest, though, you can get an autograph from Iwamoto himself!

So if you’re really looking to grab this kit, you better be prepared for a bit of DIY work. On the other hand, your laziness is essentially being rewarded with more skin than Merti’s outfit normally features!

Thanks for the tip, Auto!

    Yup! You have to do everything yourself. Thats what most all resin kits require. If they are already fully built, painted and everything then it’d be WAY more expensive, so quit your complaining and get to building. Though you’ll be spending even more for the right paints, joints, and supplies and shipping again. And if you mess up on building her, good luck getting another one for spare parts. It’ll be expensive again and even worse you won’t be able to find another, cause right after that day, they are GONE!!!

    I just wish I could buy that Aile from ZX figure somehow, it looks really cool but I am guessing it can’t be founda anymore because I didn’t see it on their website only in their twitter gallery:https://twitter.com/#!/hobbyrock/media/slideshow?url=http%3A%2F%2Ftwitpic.com%2F884oz7

    It’s really cool you can make her look like model ZX or X, which is really neat. Also, man I wish I could go to that Wonderfest in Japan! The prarie and Leviathan models look really cool! The prairie one comes with her toy cat thingy, and the Leviathan one is just plain cool. Wouldn’t want to get the Merti one though. For number one, I don’t know who that is, except that apparently it’s from a manga of X or something, and number 2, it seems just a bit weird. And I really don’t think they would put a character like that in a Mega man game. I mean I think it’s a bit innapropriate and what not. Anyways, does any one know if there’s another way to get these? Like on E-bay or some other site? Also, it just occured to me that some of the rockman kits are probably not created by the same person, there is just this Japanese website where you can see all of the Rockman kits that are going to be there. websit is here: http://hobby-rock.com/
    Here you can find a kinda cool and creepy looking Sigma model and also the Leviathan and Prairie model.

    Your best chance in getting these is getting a proxy service. Because some of those who purchase them sometimes sell them on japanese auctions. But you’ll be paying WAY more than the sale price since it’s second hand market and because of other bidders ranking up the price. Plus fees and shipping. And it’s more expensive since you have to purchase the joints, paints, and supplies needed to build the kit.
    Ebay, hmm… not really, only by luck. And if it’s on another site it’s maybe a recast, copy, a fake basically.
    Over all if your not good at building then I don’t recommend resin kits for you, as resin kits are a lot more work than simple cut and snap together model kits. But your chances in getting a kit in the first place from the Wonder Festival are very very very VERY low.

    @Matthew

    And yes, they’re not all created by the one sculptor. Hobby Rock is just a site that’s just showing the kits. There was a previous article here on TMMN about these kits and link to Hobby Rock so no need to mention it.

    ^ Out of curiosity, where do you “pre-order” a WF GK from?

  11. MegaFan says:

    @RayZX

    Just because you pre-ordered, it still doesn’t mean your guaranteed to get it, its still VERY low odds. I pre-ordered on several kits way before and they failed to get me the kit that I ordered, because they get sold out before they get to that stand where the kit is or the sculptor restricts a limit to how many per person or not enough for you. Not enough like the person taking the orders accepts 7 orders of a kit and he only manages to get 4 kits, form the 7 only 4 people will get the kit and the other 3 won’t. And even worse if the sculptor only made like 30-60 of the kit while thousands of people attend the festival. Thats why the chances are very very very VERY low.

    they emailed me and already ordered her, thats what he told me.

    its a philippine toy company. and they do sell to other countries too :)

  13. MegaFan says:

    @RayZX

    What? You might want to check with them, or that site place because you can’t surely pre-order something from the Wonder Festival and are going to get it, like yeah you can pre-paid a poxy person to try to get it with your money that you pre-paid with but you still don’t have a guarantee. I don’t know, but thats kinda sketchy……
