Bandai Creating Armored Rockman X Figure?

This picture of Ucchy-san from Rockman Unity was snapped earlier today at the start of the Tamashii Features event in Akihabara. He is checking out a display of Bandai’s D-Arts Rockman X figure, but more interestingly, what’s the deal with that capsule? What could be inside of it? It appears vaguely humanoid… but it’s too hard to tell from this shot.

Well, word is coming in through Twitter that inside the capsule, Bandai is exhibiting a Rockman X figure in his complete Rockman X1 armor. Detailed reports should be coming in sooner or later, so hopefully we’ll solve this mystery and have perhaps yet another figure to look forward to!

Oh heck no but freak ya!

    Someone will get the reference.

    I think i just had a geekgasm.

  2. Jimb0 says:

It’s the packaging for the figure.

I’m willing to bet on that.

  3. MMX100 says:

How much better can this get?! Is that the Metall that hasn’t been seen since the first post? Hell yeah! It can get better!

  4. Tornado Man says:

    Thats some awesome packaging.

  5. BPM says:

It’s Dr. Light in a karate gi. :D

  6. Duckaiser says:

X’s First Armor isn’t my favorite of his armors, but I I always felt like it was ignored compared to the others. I don’t know why. Maybe because it and the Second Armor were skipped from those old Rock Man X model kits. They made up original ones but skipped some actual ones, peculiar.

  7. ZeroX_Syaoran says:

It’s the Hadouken Capsule complete with Dr. Light’s hologram. Also inside is a programming feature that installs AI onto X and creates capabilities for the figure to shoot fireballs.

  8. glitchy says:

Come to think of it, why IS there a sudden influx in new Rockman figures ‘n stuff now anyway? :o

  9. Yuanreek says:

@glitchy: Who knows, but it’s good to know that X finally gets some kind of love.

  10. DuoDynamo says:

Well, you guys DID notice that the D-Arts figure has creases on the sides of all of its armor pieces, right?

  11. @BPM Nice! That’s what I want to see.

It’s strange that the X series would suddenly be getting so much love in the marketing area while the games themselves haven’t seen anything new years.

  12. VileMKII says:

    I want his megaman hat.

  13. Ash Paulsen says:

    Yuanreek -

Indeed. The X love is long, long overdue.

  14. TheRedPriest says:

You can’t take the figure out of the capsule for 30 years to make sure it won’t hurt you…

  15. Tabby says:

Aha. I said zero at first due to seeing the white round object on the ankle. X armor was my next guess. I was close!

  16. SolarMan says:

Very sweet. At first I thought it could have been the capsule X was placed in. Plenty of great figure goodness!

  17. Avegodro says:

Goodbye money I’ll probably miss you but I doubt it.

  18. thegolfcourse says:

Very happy about the X love resurgence, as an X fan! But it’s not just this, I appreciate the recent influx of figurines, I do think they are well done.

  19. Melvin Vasquez says:

Hey, maybe the have a fully functional X hidden in that capsule, like the real X was for 30 years!
Then again, I could just be dreaming.
