OCR Releases 3rd Teaser of MMX Series Fan Album
In September, we posted a tantalizing preview of an upcoming Mega Man X series fan remix project. Since then, the hard working community at OverClocked ReMix has been slaving away to fill your ear holes with more Mega Man X Series remixes than you can shake a Z-Saber at.
The album may not be finished just yet, but they have been nice enough to release a whopping 16 and a half minute preview. It includes a lot of new material as well as some other sections of songs heard in previous teasers.
A quick refresher: The final album is planned to have over 70 tracks, covering (to varying extents) the entire numbered X series (sorry, no Command Mission at the moment).
Warning: Due to the long nature of this teaser, it isn’t as polished as the previous ones. There are currently volume inconsistencies between tracks. Also, there is some pretty severe popping from about 7:52 – 9:01 that will, of course, be fixed in the final mix. But don’t let that stop you from enjoying the music!
Teaser #3:
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
There’s still no word on a release date for the full album, but considering that this is supposedly the “final” teaser, I imagine it’s not far off. You can check out the project thread here.
Thanks to Fei-Long for sending this in!

Whoa, that was great, can’t wait. :3
No Command Mission, huh? Then what’s Enter Massimo doing in Centipede’s theme?
Love it. Great job.
IMO, Some were great, some are typical, some were bad, and some obviously gone on a terribly (and sometime humorously wrong direction)
Also, the addition of lyrics for tunnel rhino was like putting bacon slices into a milkshake (which is a negative thing!)
Overall, good jobs guys, but just remember there is no artist that is happy with their work, so please enhance all of them before the final upload date
Well, thankyou for your effort no matter what rating category you guys are in
Sounds cool to me!
I have to disagree with you a bit there “Lumine1412″ cause I think it all sounds great to me. The only one I would agree with is the Tunnel Rhino piece, but thats just because I have nevver really been into the gaming music being remixed with lyrics. But all in all I think this is gonna be one hell of a soundtrack so are looking forward to this
Sounds decent, even though I think every single one of the original tracks sound better than the remixes on this sample, or have had better remixes before. I like it as a whole. I’ve been following it since the last previews, might as well continue.
I still can’t forgive them for what they did to DKC2′s music and from what Lumine1412 said up there doesn’t seem like they’re putting much more effort into this. So yeah I’m going to be passing this.
@Bob
Still, just give it a try, I mean, people change, and this is not the finalize version yet
and I am pretty sure there will be some good sounding track somewhere in there (since differenct people remix different tracks after all)
I thought most of them were pretty freakin epic! Now I admit some were a little hit n miss. But like they said they’re still
working on it. Man if I had me a music workstation I’d join in with them.
Lumine1412…. bacon makes everything better.
Nice! The ones that stand out to me right now are the Chill Penguin, Commander Yanmark, and Gravity Beetle stage remixes.
@DuoDynamo: Good ear.
A bit off subject (well, not technically) But I’ve just read today on Shoryuken.com that there was a poll in Japan for the most requested character for MVC 3 as DLC. X is in the top slot. It’s strongly possible, considering Shuma Gorath and Jill are DLC 4 weeks after release, and are available to those who pre-ordered the collectors edition. You guys should really post this as news.

@Tenryo
Off topic as well, but doesn’t that artwork look so dang official?
@RedrazerZero Yes! Yes it does. I hit myself in the face in shock, then read the article and felt kinda silly. Still great as news nonetheless.
This is the problem with these types of albums;people see the songs going in different directions. Overall, this captured it all well. I don’t know what there is to hate. The X-Hunter Base was I N C R E D I B L E.
