Mega Man vs. Street Fighter
It seems that the Blue Bomber has finally had it with the stars of Street Fighter getting to take on all comers in company crossovers. As such, he’s said “nuts” to the First Law of Robotics and decided to do something about it, hunting down the best of the World Warriors to remind them who Capcom’s real unofficial mascot is.
First up? None other than the figurehead for the franchise itself, Ryu:
Contrary to what the end may have you believe, though, the game is far from over. So for those who may have seen the above before, read on for something new.
Now equipped with the powers of the mighty Ryu, Mega Man has set his sights on a neighboring combatant from the Far East: the Yoga Fire fighter, Dhalsim:
Two are down, but one question remains: how many are left to go?
Mega Man vs. Street Fighter is a fan game under development from Capcom Unity member SonicZX, and they seem to have no problem with it, having featured his videos two times on their blog. As it’s a work in progress, one is left to wonder how many of the Street Fighter crew will be featured, and if they will all be from the original Street Fighter II, or if new challengers from its expansions, spin-offs, and sequels are fair game.
Hopefully the latter, because let’s face it, there is probably a wide audience for Mega Man vs. Cammy.

It seems like each stage represent a specific country that the fighter came from
but since it is still a megaman game, so there should only be 8 stages + castle stages

If it follows the 8 Stages, 4 Fortress Stages formula, then it’s pretty obvious which characters will show up. Though that might not be the case.
Clever fangame idea, even if it doesn’t make sense. It’s really cool that Capcom is actually okay with fangames and even advertises them! Not many other companies will really do that.
Not really sure which attack goes with which fighter, but my guess is the watermelon Rock used was from Sakura.
One question I have is, what attack would Rock get from Ken? Ryu and Ken basically have the same moves.

Prophet – Hadouken from Ryu and Shouryuuken from Ken seems game. After all, every Street Fighter player know that Ryu’s more power and Ken’s more combo-oriented.
I love the idea, and the game itself looks pretty promising. Though it looks a bit odd when the screen zooms in for a special attack, seems like it could be slightly disorienting. I hope Chun-Li makes it in!
It’s promising, but it could benefit from some more authentic-sounding 8-bit music.

Crap, now that my mind translates “SF” to “Star Force” I always get disappointed with people throwing around “SF” everywhere but actually meaning “Street Fighter.” It still looks pretty cool, though.
Is M. Bison ALWAYS the final boss? I haven’t played Street Fighter since I was an older child; and the games were on Super Nintendo. I usually played with my big bro whenever he got bored playing all by himself and I get creamed almost ALL the time (I was a total amateur back then and I dunno if I’m any better now ._. ). I never got to beat any Street Fighter games, and how can I when I couldn’t even beat my own brother? So I only watched my big bro play in a one-player game, and if I remember correctly, M. Bison was the final boss (as always, my big bro beats a game no matter how long it takes and I get to see the endings… yep). So in this fan game, unless there is someone else I didn’t know of, M. Bison will likely be the final boss. This will be interesting…
I wish they would put characters from streetfighter 3 or 4 in, because Ibuki vs. Megaman would be awesome.
Remember those capsules from Mega Man X and Mega Man X 2? The ones with the Hadouken and Shouryuuken? This is where Dr. Light got the data for them.

The watermelons are from Blanka, based on his second super in SFA3 (Tropical Hazard). The other weapons Megaman has are various supers/specials from characters as well, and they’re not just from SF2, as I saw Rose’s Soul Satellite as well.
@Retrotoro I know the problem, my mind translates “SF” to “Starforce” instead of “Street Fighter” too (get it, Street Fighter II!?)
That’s why most people use “MMSF” (Megaman Starforce) when they refer to the Starforce games…..
I had in similar idea like this when I was younger. But it was more like Megaman X vs. the Darkstalkers.
There’s only one way this can end–assuming the game ever does get finished–M.Bison is set up as the final boss–complete with a Shadowloo fortress–then upon his defeat, he gets preempted by Wily, who after a final stage (and possibly a battle with form 1) then gets preempted by Akuma.
P.S. Based off the weapons used in the second clip, it looks like Rose is in the game. That shield weapon is based off her second Ultra Combo from SF4.
Still hesitating who to be the bosses actually, honda and ken will most probably not make it…
will protoman or bass be playable in this awesome game?
