CoroCoro Reveals MM10 Robot Masters Official-Like, with Pictures (Updated)
The identities of the Mega Man 10 Robot Masters has been somewhat of a tenuous situation following the name leak at CES. We’ve stood by our pledge not to report the names until Capcom officially announced them. And now… they have, via CoroCoro Comic in Japan. The full roster is… are you ready? Really ready? Ok, you probably know. But it’s Sheep Man, Commando Man, Pump Man, Blade Man, Strike Man, Solar Man, Chill Man and Nitro Man. The above scan shows, from left to right, Pump Man, Strike Man, Chill Man and Solar Man. The other four are presumably shown on another page. These brief descriptions are given of the Robot Masters:
Commando Man: Attacks with a powerful explosive wave.
Blade Man: Attacks with three swords.
Nitro Man: Can transform into a motorcycle. (Perhaps Turbo Man’s little bro?)
Sheep Man: Splits up and creates lightning strikes.
Solar Man: Absorbs attacks and attacks with solar energy from his head.
Chill Man: Fires an icy shot. (Curiously, he seems to be called Chilled Man in here.)
Pump Man: Has a water-themed shield weapon.
Strike Man: Throws a powerful fastball.
We will try to get more proper scans, hopefully with the remaining two unseen, as soon as we can. Keep posted.

Pump Man is the only one who really looks bad IMO. Sheep Man always sounded like a retarded idea, but I can’t deny he looks cool at least.
Chill Man should have been named “Glacier Man”. Sounds better and represents his appearance better.
Is Strikeman the one between Chillman and Pumpman?
Whatever that huge white one is, the way Pumpman’s pump is arranged makes it look attached the the other robot’s waist, like, you know… Penis. That is laying on top of Pumpman’s head.

Aw, I’m kind of disappointed that there’s no female robot master like in MM9. I really liked the idea of Splash Woman.
Ah… these Robot Masters aren’t disappointing anymore. I can forgive Sheep Man and Commando Man. In fact, I actually like them now. The thing is, these Robot Masters look amazing!
Hey Strike Man, Zero called. He wants his boobs back.
So, Chill Man’s head isn’t a Jewel man-style head…but frozen in ice. Interesting.
if you cut the binding the picture should scan much better
Well, now that their names and pictures are out in the open, I would like to make a guess at what type of weapons Megaman gets from them. We already know that Sheep Man’s weapon is called the Thunder Wool, and after reading the post above, I can guess the rest.
Commando Man weapon will be called the Heavy Artillery. One of the pictures from Nintendo Power shows this attack as two rows of flames coming from a central point. And sice Commando Man is a war robot, his weapon might be a bomb or missile.
Strike Man weapon, the Fast Ball (or Strike Ball). His description in the CoroCoro article says he has a powerful fast ball, so it makes since that that will be his attack. I think it might bounce around the room a little as he moves around.
Pump Man. This one’s tough. The scan says that he has a water based sheild, and there is a picture of it above Pump Man’s picture. I will have to call it the Pump Barrier for the time being.
Nitro Man. The only thing I could think of is the Nitro Boost, an attack liken to Charge Man’s Charge Kick.
Blade Man. If everybody doesn’t already think that it will be called Blade Slash, then they most possibly correct.
Chill Man. For some reason, I see his attack as a cryogenic laser beam that freezes anything it touches. I call it the Chill Laser.
Last, but certainly not least, is Solar Man. The only attack I could think of for him would be called the Solar Flare. It will allow Megaman to take damage as normal. But, for every hit he takes, the attack gets stronger, until he releases it as a huge fire ball.
I would like to hear other peoples ideas about what types of attacks and weapons that these new robots masters have. Reply soon.
Those actually look really sweet, I’ve already got down Solar Man as my favorite, and boy, do Pump Man and Blade Man look weird. I had hopes that Blade Man wouldn’t look awkward judging by the sprite, but…guess not.
That Nitro Man is reminds me of Bikeman from Kinnikuman series, because of its transformation.
Anyone else notice how much Chill Man’s design is a clear ripoff of Mr. Freeze? Blade Man and Pump Man look like they were designed by a 10 year old with a crayon.
Wow. And to think, I only had 1 right out of all the guesses.
I shall call him ChilledMan, as it implies.
Pump Man is Dive Man in disguise.
Recycle-ness of the newest Robot Masters:
Sheepman – Art slightly reminiscent of Cloudman. Sprite looks all new.
Commandoman – Art looks original enough. Sprite looks like an edited Napalmman.
Strikeman – Art & sprite look like edits of Blizzardman.
Blademan – Top half of art looks original, lower half looks like Knightman. Sprite looks like a Megaman X edit.
Nitroman – Art looks original. Sprite pose is reminds me of Quickman.
(BTW, for those that don’t see the connection between a bike transforming robot and N2O, aka Nitrous Oxide aka ‘nitro’, it is a chemical used to make vehicles go really fast for short bursts.)
Pumpman – Art & Sprite seem totally original except for the face which is a few pixels away from being Diveman. (He still looks ridiculous to me.)
Solarman – Both his art and sprite are clearly made from Dustman. (Someone mentioned earlier that he’s made off of Topman. That is some crack you’re smokin’ there, buddy.)
Chillman – Art & Sprite are reminiscent of about a dozen other robot masters except for that big icy dome which is just, pardon the pun, cool.
(His name should totally be Glacierman! I say we petition Inti Creates to change it and make Solarman his nemesis!)
There’s a fair bit of recycling going on, but to be honest it is difficult to make these guys look totally original without breaking from the art style.
Since there’s not female robot master, the H-section of the fanbase is going to have to try hard to feminize one of these guys… Blade Man.
