The Angry Video Game Nerd Reads Mega Man 2

Indeed, you did not misread that headline; James Rolfe, aka the Angry Video Game Nerd, known for his vulgar and sometimes grotesque (albeit humorously so) reviews of some of the worst games the hobby has to offer, is not performing his regular run-of-the-mill duties for the Capcom franchise’s best-selling hit. Rather, he is reading the [...]

1up Retro Blog Reminisces About Super Adventure Rockman

Over Mega Man‘s twenty-plus years in the video game business, a lot of his games have made it to the shores of North America. Heck, some have even gone to Europe. Despite this, however, there are also a number of Mega Man titles we haven’t seen, or have been held back until new opportunities had [...]

Mega Man 4 Likely Coming to Wii Virtual Console

At least, it definitely is in Japan. GoNintendo is reporting that Rockman 4 is slated for release on Japan’s Wii Virtual Console sometime in February. I expect we’ll hear confirmation for Western regions soon, as this is likely a promotional effort for Mega Man 10. News Credit: GoNintendo

New Mega Man 10 Screens, Time Attack and Proto Man Shown

Capcom of Japan’s Rockman 10 website has updated with some lovely new screenshots, showing off the Time Attack Mode and Blues (Proto Man) Mode. Of course we’ve known for a while these modes would be included, and Time Attack Mode seems identical to Mega Man 9′s, but now you can check out images of them [...]

Capcom Announces Mega Man Zero Collection for Summer Release

Remember earlier, when Capcom said “We’ve already seen that you folks really want that Mega Man Zero collection and believe me, we’re listening”? Well, as it turns out, they weren’t kidding. We had a feeling they would announce Mega Man Zero Collection for a North American release, we just didn’t know when– or that it [...]

Capcom’s Call for Kubrick Customers, Plus Zero Collection Tease

Remember these guys? We brought you word of the Kubrick and BearBrick figures of Mega Man and robo-bro Proto Man back in October, but there was one small catch to getting these figures. Like so many other pieces of Blue Bomber merchandise, it was only available in Japan– and not cheap, either, at around $30.90 [...]

Behold the Glory of Mega Man 10′s Promo Art

Our website has been running into issues with memory consumption this past week. So what better to do than deliver you this big honkin’ artwork. But is it not lovely? Sure we’ve seen this promotional artwork before, again produced by i am 8-bit’s Gerald de Jesus, in other media. But today Capcom has released the [...]

Madness? THIS. IS. MEGA MAN. 2!

If you spend any good amount of time on the internet, then there is a good chance you’ve come across the “Sparta!” meme which sprang from a movie which shall remain nameless, suffice to say that it came out more than three-hundred days ago. The meme has since died down somewhat, but that wasn’t enough [...]

I’m sure some of you know this now with Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars being out and all, but Roll’s longtime theme song, “Kaze yo Tsutaete” (roughly “Bequeath the Wind”) has been translated and localized for this title. Originally written for the 1997 game Mega Man Battle & Chase, the song has also been featured [...]

Hear Heat Man Talk Mega Man 10 (And More)

I’ve come to the conclusion that Heat Man has an elaborate plan to make me look like a pushy jerk-face by forcing me (at Atomic Fire-point) to plug WingDamage.com 2 days in a row. This time, Heat Man joins me and a few others on our weekly videogame podcast. Mega Man comes up in several [...]

So How Is Tatsunoko vs. Capcom?

The release of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars has finally come. While many (myself included) never thought the game would come over here, Capcom thankfully proved us wrong. What does this have to do with Mega Man? Well, as you probably know by now, TvC features not one, but three playable Mega Man characters; each [...]
