This was and is one of my favourite Mega Man TV series (even if it is just an OVA) and I really don’t like how people dumped on it just because it was so much like a tourist video of Japan (which it did feel like at some points) I still thought it was fantastic, the animation style was spot on (something the Ruby Spears cartoons failed to do) and the voice acing (even for the english dub) was appropriate. I really liked the parts where the kid is playing Mega Man 5 at the beginning and gets up in the wee hours of the morning to finish it…he reminds me so much of me when I was little.

I love Upon A Star. I’ve got the DVD set, though it’s technically at my folks’ house. Need to pick it up sometime.

I have a retail copy of this and still absolutely love it. Also the whole Ruby-Spears cartoon albeit in bad condition. :S
