A look into Rockman EXE Official Complete Works

Rockman EXE Official Complete Works, the latest continuation of the uber-big Rockman artwork books, has released in Japan this week. And for those wanting a nice look inside, Nigoli has got you covered. His photographic report of the book contains a lot of nice pages with content not commonly found in what’s been released on the Battle Network front in the west. The fantastic book covers 18 games in 176 pages, with reportedly over 5,000 images. A must-have for not just Battle Network fans, but perhaps all Mega Man fans.
Imports of the book at Play-Asia seem to be a little delayed right now for unknown reasons. Of course if you can wait it out a little bit, we do have more than enough hints that this will be one of UDON’s future projects.
Update: Play-Asia is now shipping copies of EXE Official Complete Works.

I promise to get some real Hi-Res Digital Camera shots by Friday if there aren’t Scans already up.
It’s interesting to see them use Classic Mega to illustrate the concept for EXE. It goes to show that the series was a lot like it’s original predecessors than what people originally thought it was. It seems that the chibi idea was used for the Powered Up!/Rockman Rockman series instead.
It also shows that the games art style was probably geared to appear more like in the later games with the smaller sprites than the more detailed ones in the earlier Battle Network games.
I’ll be getting this after Udon translates it.
Yeah it’s like, “So here’s our idea for a new kind of RockMan game! But now since the style of the series is so different, we’d better get ready to design a whole new RockMan too…”
I hope they make this in english.
Well, both books come out today of the Classic and X flavor, and I already have RMZOCW, this would be a nice addition to my little R20 collection.
I hope Amazon gets the Mega Man Official Complete Works and Mega Man X Official Complete Works books in stock soon. The ones that sellers currently have are going for $62 and higher!
