More Mega Man Doom

A few days ago, we brought you a look at a Doom mod based on the original Mega Man NES game, including a couple of screenshots. And today, we’ve got video of the game in action

For whatever reason, the first is labeled as a “Cutsman Map,” though they likely meant “Gutsman.” Check it out:

The next, however, does take place on the actual “Cutman Map:”

…as does this one:

Hopefully when the full version comes out next year, they might have a better way of distinguishing players. A single-player mode with other enemies might be cool, too.

*shrugs* This looks more like a novelty than something you’d want to plsy for any length of time. The jumping is annoying; how the heck are you supposed to land on the green platform when it only exists in two dimemsions?

As a fan of Doom and Megaman, Im lovin it.

That platform (gutsman stage) should be in 3D. Other than that, the game is looking good.Oh and there should be some kind of difference between the Megamen.

I agree that the players should be identifiable somehow. As an avid Doom player, and a Megafan, I’m really excited for this!

So random, but totally awesome. I’ll definitely play it when it comes out.

…It actaully is in Gutsman’s stage, the G just looks a lot like a C.

    3 words. playable. boss. robots.

GREAT JOB! The person who took the time to do all that work needs to work for Capcom. 1st person conversion for all the MM games using the Unreal engine. Now that would bring some freshness to the series.

What a crappy green platform, otherwise, it’s rather nice.

Although I wonder, how the hell are you supposed to avoid getting sick? The 2D and moving is…nauseating. I still remember-quite vividly-how dizzy I felt after playing Duke Nukem 3D.

I can’t be the only one thinkin’ Protoman as a playable character. The other Robot Masters would be cool, but he’s the closest play-wise. Other than that, this is lookin’ slick. I’ll definitely play this when it comes out.
