Capcom’s Killian Elaborates on “Competition” for Legends 3
A few days ago, we reported a tease left by Capcom Community Manager Seth Killian in the Capcom*Unity’s Ask Capcom forum, explaining that there would soon be a way for fans to show their support for a MegaMan Legends 3, though they would “have to compete with the Powerstone 3 and RE: Outbreak psychos for attention!”
With everyone preparing to go to war in support of their favorite franchise, we caught up with Captain-Commander Seth Killian and asked him to explain a little further about the nature of the conflict with the Powerstone pushers and the Outbreak outlaws.
“I was hoping to clarify by actually just showing everyone what I meant,” he explained, “but I’m not sure exactly which day it will be ready. At any rate, it’s definitely not meant to be a competition between those three groups –they are just some of the most vocal around here.”
“The competition,” he continued as we ducked a preemptive mortar shell, “will actually be between any and all ideas, no matter how nutty, ridiculously expensive, or flat out dumb they might be 
”
So there you have it: anything goes. It sounds like anything from a MegaMan Legends 3 to a Mega Man X9 to MegaMan Battle Network 7: Penny Slug/Wooden Nickel to Mega Man Dating: Kinky Navigators Edition will be fair game for suggestion.

Sounds good to me. Only those with a true following will stand out among the crowd of weird submissions. Kinda weird when they KNOW what the top wanted games are, but having an official number is always nice.

As much as I’d eventually like to see an X9 (kill Axl), Capcom has a better track record with the Legends series, and with Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom and other recent Legends cameos, it’s clear they want to see him too. So, my vote’s gonna have to go to Legends 3. Or the Dating Sim. Either one’s cool here.
I’d go with Legends 3. We’ve seen what the first two were like years ago so the advancements with new graphics/gameplay/online? could be awesome. X9 would either be another x 7/8 (Burn Rooster a.k.a. flaming cock) or a retro like megaman 9 which I would love. But I’m still sore over the unfinished story in Legends, especially since it was amazing.
Screw those, I want Starforce 4, I want more action, i want more fun, i want more Geo x Luna, I WANT STARFORCE 4!!!!!!!!

That should about cover what everyone is going to list on these replies… though, now that it was mentioned, Mega Man Dating: Kinky Navigators Edition doesn’t sound too bad either.
I think that no matter what game they pick (assuming Mega Man Dating: Kinky Navigators Edition isn’t chosen) it should have a Mega Man Dating mini-game just for kicks.
SeraphMan, why do you want to dig up BN and MMZ from their graves? they actually completed their stories lets not leave them open like the others!

Well, Zero finished its storyline at 4. There was no turning back from that ending. BN’s ending was…sorta hurriedly done. HOWEVER if they do make a BN7, I at least want some time progression to take place (either a teenage/grown-up Lan or pass the torch to the next generation of NetBattlers, and maybe by then Raito’s (I am not calling him Patch…) Navi would have been upgraded from the…disconcerting Mega Man Jr.EXE to the more cool Mega Man X.EXE). However I still wanna see Crash Man.EXE, Splash Woman.EXE, etc. and not Navis based on Mavericks. I suppose beating the crap out of Guts Man and Protoman some more goes without saying.
I think a third ZX game is almost a given, considering the secret ending of ZXA (which could have been much more cool and dramatic, but for spoiler reasons I’m not saying why). Just would be nice to alternate between the two sets of characters (like using Grey/Ashe for Model A’s boss copy ability and have Vent/Aile get special weapons (Model X)/saber techs (Model ZX))
And actually, a game I’d much rather see on the totally random side of the scale is another racing game. It could be Battle & Chase 2, or maybe it could be EXE-based (the only two series that this could really be done with). Battle & Chase was a fun game, and I always thought they could have done more with it. Besides, I’m sure there are a few RMs/Navis that we’d be afraid to see on a race track, other than Needle Man [insert mass-groaning here]
I most def want to see the Legends 3! Of course, I wouldn’t mind seeing X9, ZX3, Star Force 4, BN7: Penny Slug/Wooden Nickel, etc. I’m kind of scared of that MegaMan Dating idea XD
MEGAMAN LEGENDS 3!!!!! as much as id love to see a power stone 3 i think it would be critizied for already being done (SSBB) on id say MML3 if anyone disagrees please speak
Am I one of the few fan that wasn’t thrilled with Legends? Sure the second one was a bit better, and Tron Bonne is awesome, but the graphics were really poor even fro PSone standards.
I root for X9, MM10 and Kinky Dating Sims lol
Let’s see, putting aside Mega Man Dating: Kinky Navigators (Hopefully it wouldn’t stick to one series.)
Legends 3 first.
Then maybe a 2.5D MM10. To finish off the series.
Then X9 (and later X10)
ZX3 (maybe 4 so it’s have as many of Zero)
Then maybe a Patch and MM Jr.exe BN game.
Or an MMO/Capcom or Megaman Fighting game.
Those four first. Then dating sim. ha ha ha
I’m totally up for legends 3, but instead of ZX 3 I think the series could use a few adjustments plus it wouldn’t hurt if a new megaman game came out on the Wii as a full fledged game. Not some little $10.00 game that lasted an hour. No disrespect to mega man 9 though if your thinking that I hate it.
…Yep, Mega Man Dating: Kinky Navigators Edition is officially going to be the underdog winner.

Legends 3 has imo, the most potential for groundbraking gameplay and story. The side-scrolling series (Zero, X, original, ZX) has been thouroughly explored. Its time for Capcom to once again venture into the vast unexplored regions of the 3D action adventure genre that Legends once embarked on.
As a game designer, I’ve already began writing a very concrete storyline for ideas on megaman legends 3. Perhaps we can all ban together and unite in many similar ideas to capcom will be more likely to choose.

The big secret is that Capcom will make what they want anyway. If it’s at the top of the list, that’s just a bonus. Muwahahaha!!!
In that case, I’d probably suggest ZX3, MHX2, and MMPU2.
But if it had to be one, then ZX3.

The Legends series has FAR too much potential to be left at a two-game series. I have to vote for Legends 3.
@RegalX7: Completing the MMPU(2~9) or MHX(2~6) series in PSP would be the best!! Everyone wants to hear the MMX2 arrangement that wasn’t used in MMX Collection to be lost in MHX2. and I personally want to see some of the later robot masters in “Chibi” form.
@topic: I think that the best way to link the classics and X series is doing a X prequel, RockmanX-0, this way the classic series can continue forever, knowing that sometime in the future the events depicted in RMX0 will happen.
@Enzan chaud: i agree with you and think capcom should make all those games.
@ Megaman X Zero: i totally agree with the idea of being able to use model A if you play as ashe/gray, or model ZX if you play as vent/aile. That would be so awesome! I think capcom’s next game should be ZX3, seeing as they can’t just leave the series on a cliff hanger!

i have to go with mega man legends 3. i played the first two when thay first came out years ago and to this day thay remian my favorite megaman titles of all time. would love to see 3 come out before im 30.
Annnd in the joy of digging up old topics to post opinions on them…. Well its been over half a year since this all started, and well no new Megaman Games have been released to date.
Following through on how things have been going fan wise and such from my own research, (this is without my own opinion sauce added in)
Within capcom, the lead man for the megaman series WANTS to make a Legends 3, in fact they ALL do, (all of the people on the megaman team in capcom at least.)
The only real reason that they havn’t followed through yet is because they haven’t had time and in the end it really is up to the big wigs as to weather or not they get the go ahead to work on it. They know what engine they want to use to make the game, and the only real work to be done is voice acting, story boarding, and engine tweaking.
Legends has a curse however, People who have played it, either LOVED it, or HATED it. There are few who were in between on the issue because of the games extreme difference from all other megaman games.
As for my own opinion, I want a Megaman Legends 3. Number 2 closed up the secrets to Megamans past. Opened up the fact that Tron has a crush on Megaman and made it more obvious to those who are dense as hell. And it gave everyone a glimpse of Roll’s mother and father.
So all thats really left to do, is flesh out and explain how the master system all came about, See what Trigger looked like in the past, See what they will do with The masters genetic data that is stored within trigger. And open up the technology of the past to those in the present.
So this third game would most likely have to go from Roll/Tron’s perspective in the beginning, With Teisel and Bon Bonne and the servebots going on digs to get up cash enough to actually rescue Trigger.
There is a LOT that can be done and that needs to be done. I loved the gameplay of MML, and with next gen technology behind it, You can really see how much more could be done with the legends recipe. I have a million ideas… I just don’t have a job at capcom to make it happen D:

Inafune Kenji wants to create a megaman legends 3 and when has he ever failed to deliver? CapCom, get off your high horse and give the man a chance and the money to create a continuation of one of the best megman series ever.
Seriously, Blizzard created SC2 after a decade of the original coming out, i think its about time Megaman Legend 3 should come out. Because sooner or later i reckon it will come out, i just rather it come out sooner.
That and im a bleeding big fan of megaman legend 3 and i want to see who megaman chooses, Tronne or Roll.
