Announcing a TMMN music project: BN Remix!
We’ve had this in the planning stages for a couple of months now, but we can finally let the cat out of the bag. In honor of Operate Shooting Star, some of us at TMMN are putting together a special arranged album of the original MegaMan Battle Network called BN Remix, and the project homepage is now online. We already have a few samples available!
Right now we’re aiming to have the album released in the summer of 2010 to coincide with the North American release of Operate Shooting Star. Aside from the arranged music itself, we will be creating a digital CD booklet, and possibly some other features. Nothing is entirely set it stone at this point. But we definitely want to make sure the album is representative of the Battle Network fans’ voice.
So we hope you’ll enjoy the project, and keep up with updates as they occur (they probably won’t all be posted via TMMN). We do intend to open site affiliation sometime soon, so keep your eyes peeled for updates. Thanks!

There are currently three samples to listen to on the project site’s music page. What are you waiting for? Give ‘em a listen!
Top Breeders Recommend this album!
But seriously, it is hopefully going to be pretty cool.
Wow I wish I had headphones : (
Great idea though, seriously! Its too bad you guys couldn’t get a cut of the game’s profit
Holy crap that boss mix sounds awesome. Getting psyched up to try and make something myself even though I have no experience whatsoever XD Hope I have the time.. This might just become my new hobby!
The staff at the megaman network never cease to amaze me.
Finally got home so I could listen to em. Love em so far; I haven’t heard/ seen a lot of remixes from BN so this is just fantastic.
The previews sound absolutely amazing! The Drum.EXE/Bass.EXE and The Lonesome Batch are my favorites. If you guys need any help at all, I do music production as well – http://bit.ly/frshbts
I can’t wait to hear more about this project and even more importantly, listen to new remixes.
This remix cd just reminds me of how boring the music in the first Battle Network game was.
Meh, I’ll pass.
Well, I can definitely say I wasn’t expecting this.
As long as they remix the Battle theme from EXE2 with Elenor Rigby by the beatles I will be happy
@ mainfinger:
Your remix RULES. It really reflects that you’ve been working on music for nearly ten years now. Keep up the good work.
MB, they won’t be remixing any of the songs from EXE2. This is just a remix project for the first game.
Also, after listening to all the clips, I was really disappointed. None of them were good, I am sorry to say. Even the second track, which heavily featured electric guitar, was very lacking.
Well imho, the music in the first game was pretty awesome. The Netbattle themes will find their way into your head.
I am looking forward to Iceman’s stage remixed
wow, feels good to see such strong support (other than the one obligatory “hater”). Thanks guys! It’s a fun project to work on and I’m happy to be a part of it.
*waves obligatory hater flag*
It’s okay, mainfinger, I always get kind of wary around people who equate good music with ‘heavy electric guitar’ anyway.
I’m not familiar with BN’s music so I probably wouldn’t have the same listening experience as the people who played the games, but these samples sound pretty pro so far. Honestly, it’s not my cup of tea all the way through, but it’s clear you guys are making a legitimate effort. Good luck; hope we get to hear more samples soon.
Hm…main’s remix of the boss theme is pretty decent, but it kinda loses the feel of the original, The part where the song tells you that this boss is NOT to be trifled with; that you’re in for a tough fight.
I love “Get out of the kitchen,” though all three are great remixes. Though, I have to say, am I the only one who feels “The Lonesome Batch” feels completely out of place musically? Not saying it’s bad, but the style is not at all like the other two.
@SeraphMan
There is actually quite a bit of genre of diversity planned on this album. There are 5 artists all who bring something different to the table. When more demos are released from the other artists, there will be a more honest cross section of the album’s styling. As it is now of the 3 tracks we have shown, two of them happened to have a similar energy. But that was mostly random chance.
I know this is old news but when is it gonna be complete?
