I also forgot that my statement "it really is a terrible show by today's standards" is not really comparing it to other TV shows today, but what people expect of TV shows today. Nowadays many people expect intricate and accurate plots and for everything to be accurate to what a show was taken from (if you don't believe this then listen to people on forums who tear the Transformers movies to shreds because they are upset about the "innacuracies"). People's standards of entertainment has risen significantly over the last 2 decades (trust me, I don't like it anymore than you) that's also why so many people groan when they go back and watch the cartoons they watched as a kid and say things like "man, I used to think this was cool?" I personally still think the old cartoons are awesome (yes Mega Man included) but for many people nowadays, it just doesn't reach how high they've set the bar.

Well you are right, today's cartoons are mostly junk and perhaps my sentence that you quoted was a tad harsh, I too actually love the cartoons of Mega Man (that's why I bought it) and what I was trying to get at was that so many people do have problems with the show and I can understand why they do sometimes (some episodes like the Lion Men one here just make you slap your forehead at times) other episodes, like you said are quite entertaining and are definetley worth the watch for anyone reading this if you haven't.

Hardly. I know you were defending it in your post, but how can you say this when all the cartoons appearing on TV today are garbage? My only hope is you don't watch any of them so you don't know about it.

The MegaMan cartoon was and is a wonderful thing. People always put it down for how silly it was but at least it was entertaining.

I don't that's a very fair thing to say about those cartoons. I own the first season of it and yes....it really is a terrible show by today's standards (corny lines, nonsensical plot lines, deformed characters that look next to nothing like their game counterparts); but in its defense it was actually very well made and well detailed (lots of use of shading (more than some Disney films at the time actually), characters (other than Proto Man and Roll) were very true to their personalities and use of characters that didn't appear much in the games (eg- Dark Man from Mega Man 5). So yes while the shows may have had many flaws, that doesn't mean that they were the worst programs on TV ever.

@Glitcher

True, but does Mega Man ever need one of these machines to trash Wily's creations? Granted it would make them easier but then we wouldn't have much of a challenge.
