mmocw_cvrMega Man merchandise is always great, and today a couple pieces of Mega Man merchandise are now available for sale. First off is Mega Man Official Complete Works. Translated and edited by Udon, this huge format, 200 page book contains tons of artwork, concept art and designer notes covering the classic Mega Man series. Owning the Japanese edition myself, I can tell you it’s an awe inspiring collection of artwork that classic Mega Man fans need to have. The book is available on Amazon, among other sites likely, and if you order it through Amazon via the ad button you see on the right side of the site, that helps us out a little bit!

ctrNext up is Chip Tuned Rockman, a collection of 8-bit inspired Mega Man music remixes, that has officially gone on sale in Japan. For some deeper details and samples, you can check out our review. This one isn’t going to be as easy to get outside of Japan. Fortunately for those of us living outside of Japan, this one is available on CDJapan, a seller of Japanese CDs and DVDs that I can recommend via personal experience. This is probably the easiest means to import for now. Still, I hope Capcom will start putting albums like this on iTunes or a similar service soon!

    Man that book looks heavenly

  2. Chris says:

    It is, my friend owns the Japanese version and I have pre-ordered the English one and it seriously is like a bible for the Mega Man fan.

    @Heat Man

    The only thing is that I have noticed that they have an X series and Zero Series complete works book coming later this year. In my friend’s japanese copy, the book contains the X series as well as the classic series. Did they split it up for the english release or is the X series book coming later just a continuation?

  3. PStart says:

    @Chris: They split it up for America, and are going to release X separately. I mostly want the classic art anyways, but it’s still too bad

  4. Gaia says:

    I’m planning on getting it. hopefully soon when I have the cash and time.

  5. Abe says:

    From what I remember, Udon decided to split the Original and X Complete Works into two separate books (put them together and you get the Japanese “edition” except, you know, in english).

  6. Chris says:

    @PStart

    Thanks for clearing that up for me. I too prefer the classic series art as well, but I would like to own all three books.

  7. Rock Miyabi says:

    Well, we all hope the OCW will be out sooner than later. But as many who ordered through Amazon, like me, found out, it’s now estimated to ship between November 13th and December 10th, rather than today as originally planned. Hopefully it’s just a shorter distribution delay and won’t take that long, but as of right now, it looks like something came up again.

  8. Emuji says:

    Emmmmm… 200 pages?? The Japanese edition has more than 300…

    And the Chinese version, a damned copy, 130…

  9. Emuji says:

    Ammmm, sorry, I see that Americans divided the original one in two parts, original and X ^^U

  10. Harpu says:

    @ Emuji, that is probably because they split the original japanese book, into the classic collection and X collection. I don’t know how to explain the chinese thing though. I also pre ordered the book via amazon. I can’t wait to get it, though it saddens me to hear that amazon is having a distribution issue. Thanks for the info though Miyabi, I won’t be anxiously awaiting it.

  11. fullmetalbelmont says:

    There are a few good songs on the album, great even, but a lot of the stuff seems very muddy, like they tried to have too many different sounds all doing different things at random intervals.

  12. AlphaOmega says:

    sounds cool for me (anyway I WANT FINALY MEGAMAN STAR FORCE 3 ON EUROPE COMMON CAPCOM BRING IT OUT. any europe
    fans dont you agree with me?)

  13. Rafael C.- says:

    God, now I need to tell my wife that we have to buy the Megaman Book (already have the Japan R20). And two days ago I received from Japan the RockmanX1~6 CDs and RM9Arrange CD.

  14. Anthony says:

    Ughhh amazon sent me an email saying the complete works was not sent and they don’t have a shipping estimate. I preordered mine in mid April so I would think I’d be at the front of the line.
