IGN unveils Zero in Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom
Posted on October 13th, 2009 by Heat Man
He is revealed at last, and it’s the X series Zero to boot, marking the first time a Mega Man X character has graced a fighting game, to my knowledge. Aside from the above video, you can also catch some additional screens at IGN.
Check out Zero’s skills from X5. He uses Dark Hold to finish off his opponent in his super!

I was expecting the Zero series Zero, then I saw this…
Okay, I can die happy now. I’m completely sold.
DO. F***ing. WANT.
I can’t believe you guys. MMZ-Zero was so much more… pwnage.
Ah well, still have SVC I guess.
Its hard to believe sometime so great as been gifted
to us.
I never shed tears before, but when i heard Zero saying “Dark Hold~o”
manly tears came to my eyes like a reflex.
Is just too awesome.
I just wish i didnt sucked ass as much as i do in fighting games
to do Zero the badass warrior he is bound to be.
I just forgot something… did you guys noticed the Z-Buster like attack Zero was about to do with his charged fist ?
I wonder which attack it was…
WIN GAME IS MADE OF PURE UNMOLESTED WIN.
@Lord Zero
*sniffle* I feel your sentiment man, this game is going to be too sweet for words. And so what if you aren’t so great at fighting games, I’m certainly not a pro but you can still have hours of good times with your buddies playing it.
omg…. he is so awesome!!!! TuT
its not MMZ zero but im still glad the the Xseries finally got represented in the fighing games (frank west’s MMX super doesent count)
Incredible.. hell it was ’bout time to get Zero (i mean the original X-Series Zero) in one of those. By the way, there’re some curious facts about his moves which comes from X4 to X7(?).
0:35 Hadangeki (X7)
0:39 Ryuuenjin (X4)
1:05 Rekkouha* (X6)
1:46 Hienkyaku (X4)
and obviously
2:10 Dark Hold (X5) (words can’t express the awesomeness of this one)
*It might be also Rakkuhouha (X4) but due the shiny rays comming from the sky, i dare to say it’s the Rekkouha.
You know
I feel so good !
Wow! Original Zero! Strange thing to see. Makes me wish they’d do a Mega Man X fighter with this style. Well, I might actually get this game!
After seeing how well Zero adapts to this style of fighting game, I now see no viable excuse or reason why Mega Man (preferably Classic series version) was left out of Smash Bros. If it really was a communication fiasco between the two companies then that’s fine, but if there were questions as to whether or not he would fit well into a fighting game….then this video just proved them wrong.
Note: Yes I am fully aware that Smash Bros. is a very different style of fighting game from this one, but that is why I suggested the classic series Mega Man since he is just a little more cute and cartoony looking (fitting closer with Smash’s aesthetics).
Nice, now I have another reason to buy the game later on.
I absolutely love it.
