701170The latest info from CoroCoro is out on 2ch, but so far info seems a bit sparse. Here’s a basic rundown on the facts:

  • A playable demo (likely they same one at TGS) will be available in Japan on the Wii’s Nintendo Channel.
  • Bass will be an enemy character in the MegaMan Star Colosseum.
  • There is a Navi Chip for Star Force MegaMan, which is code S and deals 100 damage.
  • In the alternate issue of CoroCoro comic, which runs between the main monthly issues, they will begin running an OSS manga by Ren Takahara that stars an original protagonist instead of Lan.
  • Some kind of promotion for the game will be appearing on CoroCoro’s website soon.

Edit: Here’s another scan from PRC that I’ve cleaned up a bit, which gives some more story detail involving the crossover aspect.

osspageHere we learn that a bad Navi (likely ClockMan of course) has run off to 200 years in the past with Harp Note. Here SF MegaMan is at WAXA with his friends and Dr. Goodall saying he needs to go after them. Meanwhile, 200 years in the past, Mayl claims that Roll has been kidnapped by a blue Navi. Naturally, Lan and MegaMan EXE go to rescue Roll. This in turn seems to pin SF MegaMan as the criminal, which will likely lead to their battle. However (assuming at least from other scenes we’ve seen before), it’s ClockMan behind the abduction of both, but to what end…?

I’m interested to get a rip of the japanese demo so i could play it for some times ^^

  2. LuigiBlood says:

Forgot to say, about the manga, i can’t imagine EXE without Netto…

  3. Ginrei says:

OH. MY. GOODNESS. That kid in the manga is SO Netto and Meiru’s son that’s mentioned at the end of EXE6. Raito or something? Patch in the English version, anyway. And my inner fangirl is hoping that the Navi is not Rockman, but… but the one Netto mentions in his secret journals in Starforce 2. Oh man, oh man, I am excited! <3

  4. Boon says:

That kid in the last picture is probably Lan and Mayl’s son.

  5. Alilatias says:

Huh, manga with a new protagonist was unexpected and totally out of left field. Interesting. Crackpot theory: The kid appears to have a red DS instead of a PET, so perhaps Rockman.EXE gets thrown back EVEN FURTHER in time to our time and gets stuck in the kid’s DS? >_>

What does that part with the Program Advances say? Why is it there?

Looks like we’re missing a huge chunk of the pages this month. Ah, 2chan, always keeping stuff secret for a few days. Not that I really mind.

  6. Alilatias says:

And as I post, an update is made.

*glances over at MegaRockEXE to see his reaction at what appears to be redone SF main cast sprites as well*

  7. beep says:

I really do hope you can switch between the 2 megamans at anytime.

  8. Forci says:

…The large cannon is back… I guess that means that we are getting stuck with the same Program Advances as the original…which means no Life/Dream Sword…

  9. Treble Bass, ON AIR! says:

    Um, people?
If I’m not mistaken, then the “boy” in the last image is actually a girl.
And if I remember correctly, Lan and Mayl also had a daughter, which I would perfer to be the main protagonist over the boy.
And no, I’m not saying that because I’m a girl.
    I’m a boy.
I just think FEMALE Japanese protagonists are WAY better than MALE ones.
    ^_^’

  10. Ginrei says:

Treble Bass, I thought that kid looks like a girl too! But I thought they only had a son… do I need to replay EXE6??

Plus, Ren Takahara’s the one who drew the EXE manga, right? She tends to draw very feminine people, in my opinion, so I figured it was just a kind of feminine little boy… but that ponytail… HM.

  11. Megamansonicdude says:

    I am speechless… That looks so awesome…

  12. Alilatias says:

I think we all can agree that whatever gender the new kid is, he/she IS A VERY, VERY YOUNG TRAP.

    *shot repeatedly*

Ginrei: Nobody said that this new kid is Raito/Patch. I think the new kid is someone entirely different.

  13. mega rock.exe says:

They’re the same bloody sprites! I knew the BN1 sprites were a huge gimmick. It’s going to be really strange when the player’s head size suddenly shrinks.

  14. RegalX7 says:

I don’t know whether I’m just not up to date with the info, but have they ever stated when this scenario will happen in the game? By that I mean, in-between two existing scenarios, or after the main story is over?

  15. Treble Bass, ON AIR! says:

    @ Alilatias
Yeah, I’m one of those people who pegged you for saying that! He/she looks super ultra kawaii! XD
    Do want.

  16. Quezacotl says:

    Treble Bas:
You ever heard of the term shounen manga? EXE is all about that, brotherhood, friendship, you don’t throw a girl in there.

  17. Quezacotl says:

    Oh and YESSSSS, EXE CONTINUES!!!

  18. Treble Bass, ON AIR! says:

Wait… That is definitely a GIRL. SHE has a bosom. Small ones, yes, but sti- *gets whacked on the head by both Harp Note and Roll* …ouch.
Of course, Zero is a boy, but he has a bo- Aaahhh! *smashed on the head by a Zero weilding a moloid hammer* …eh heh heh… the crows sing in the morning… *faints*
