Mega M–err, Rockman to be available as a new entry in the PSN Game Archives
Posted on July 22nd, 2009 by LanceHeart
We all know about the raffle prize Sony and Capcom did to commemorate the launch of Rockman 9 on PSN in Japan. Now we’ll all have a chance to play as the Blue Bomber in the Complete Works version of Rockman 1, releasing on August 12th 2009 for Japan’s PlayStation Network Game Archives (known in North America as PSOne Classics).
Fun little fact: The game is getting a digital release just over 10 years after its original release.
Purchase price is the standard ¥600 (about $6).

Oh dang, that’s pretty cool!
Wow very cheap for a PSOne game, I will get this.
Wait….MM1 had a complete works version? Sounds pretty sweet.
I’d love to sign up for a Japanese PSN account and get myself some Japanese PSN cards.
You can always get yourself a copy of Megaman Anniversary Collection on PS2, as it contains the Navi mode of Complete Works, but I think they left out some of the features though (probably because it’s localized, or lack of space? I doubt this though), but still, it has all 6 games from Complete Works. Otherwise I don’t know the exact differences in details. I don’t think it would be all that expensive used.
The PS2 collection features downgraded versions of the Complete Works games; and I mean downgraded (take for instance the enhanced music in Mega Man 6 and the lack of many features present in the Complete Works); the good thing is that they are in English. But if you’re looking for the real (and complete) deal, you might be better off with the Japanese ones.
I have Anniversary Collection already, I want the real Complete Works.
How can you get this?
