PSP Rockman/Rockman X value pack, plus original soundtrack

togetherComing up on September 17th, a PSP value pack containing both the PSP games Rockman Rockman and Irregular Hunter X will go on sale. What’s more, according to this Rakuten shop, the pack will contain a special bonus to preorders: an original soundtrack. The value pack will sell for ¥2,990 (roughly $30 US). Not a bad deal for both games, along with the soundtrack. This will be the second time both titles are re-released in Japan.

At this point it’s uncertain whether the preorder bonus soundtrack is only available through Rakuten or other online shops (such as Play Asia, for importers). It will likely be made clear once the pack is available on e-Capcom.

Maybe this will prompt Capcom to think about making sequels? Seriously, more people have PSPs now. So more people should buy this game and sales should go up like they should have back in ‘05.

  2. Sniper Joe says:

I think the graphical style of Maverick Hunter X would better suit X4-X6.

  3. NovaMan XP says:

I would like a Powered Up 2, but not on the PSP (although I do have one…).

  4. Tas_man001 says:

Well I actually might buy this for 2 reasons even though I already own both games.

1 it comes with the sound track

    2. if it means they make sequels I will surely help the sales.

oh and also I got the Rockman Dash 1 and 2 value pack, even though it’s marketed as a “value pack” it actually looks and feels a lot more like a boxed set. and I like them a lot.

so despite me already owning both games (and actually one of them is the japanese version already) I might actually purchase one of these.

Come onnnnn sell well please : )))))))

  6. Burning Typhoon says:

OMG!! I SMELL SEQUELS.. If this came to the states, I’d buy this, even though I own both already. I’d love having powered up 2 on PSP… maybe they can make the next available on PSN for PS3 with better graphics, and a split screen 2 player mode like bionic commando.

If it doesn’t come out on a sony system, I wont get it, ’cause my 360 is annoying, and I don’t own nintendo systems. I think it’d be best for powered up to be on PSP, Wii, and maybe PS3 through PSN.

Powered Up 2 and Maverick Hunter X 2!! I can see them already… I LOVE it!!

  8. Rodney Simmons says:

I’m going to buy this as well to support the sales. Let’s go, Mega Man!! :)

  9. J. L. says:

Nice to see Capcom is giving those games another chance to sell! Too bad I already have them, so I don’t see any point in getting them again (that soundtrack thing is great, but what am I going to do with two extra copies of games I already own? If Capcom themselves are having a hard time selling them, how could I do the same?)

Anyway, my best wishes for the games, hoping that we get to see a sequel (for each) soon.

  10. Rodney Simmons says:

Think about it: If the original Mega Man 1 on NES sold poorly and still had a sequel, shouldn’t the remake had done the same? Whether this sells well or not, Capcom should reconsider about not making a Powered Up 2 and MHX 2. We promise you Capcom, sequel sales will not disappoint you, if so, Powered Up 2 can be the last remake (along with MHX 2) please, look into your heart…
