Fans Band Together to Remix Mega Man 9 Soundtrack

No, not brother-band! Though I, personally, enjoyed the unexpected random-genre toting antics of Capcom’s official Mega Man 9 Arrange Album, it wasn’t met with praise by everyone. Have no fear! Within the Overclocked Remix community, a member named “k-wix” took it upon himself to get the ball rolling on a fan-made remix project of the game’s soundtrack.
You can find the project site for the upcoming album here as well as over two minutes of teaser audio here. Anybody already familiar with Overclocked Remix will notice some of the very talented mixers involved such as bLiNd and Sixto Sounds to name just a few and you might even notice a familiar face on one of the Wily Stage tracks.

Interesting, you guys should also check out this musician named Nilakantha, he has a Rockman 9 soundtrack remix and other types of Megaman songs made. He is very good. Be good to show him support as well since he feels inferior to other musicians and lacks confidence.
…Well, I can already see this is going to be a train wreck. None of those songs really wowed me on the demo reel. They either did not fit whatsoever or just came off as cheap generic techno.
Guess that’s the OCReMix seal of quality as usual. I’ll still with the remaster album that came from Capcom, thank you very much.

Wow, that demo reel was pretty hideous. I wasn’t a huge fan of the official remixed tracks, but there were at least 3 or 4 ones that I remember liking. This OC Remix crap is the worst, as usual.
Are you saying that OCRemix or all remixed music, in general, is bad?
I always liked OCremix, the only thing I didn’t like about them was the fact that so many artists would remix the same tunes (Megaman 2 Wily Castle for example), other than that, they are good.
OCRemix as a whole varies in quality and style to an enormous degree due to the fact that it is a giant community of people mostly working independently of one another.
Does anyone else find it funny that when this gets released, it will mean that Megaman 9 will have at least 4 different soundtrack albums? From where I see it, there will be 2 versions of the Original Soundtrack & 2 versions for the Arrange Soundtrack:
1st: Megaman 9 Original ST by Capcom
2nd: Megaman 9 Retro ST by TSSF
3rd: Megaman 9 Arrange ST by Capcom
4th: Megaman 9 Remix Project by OCRemix
I’ve heard nothing better than U-GEN’s. Can somebody tell me if that’s a real band or not??? I sincerely doubt it, but it would be amazing if it was.
