A sign of Mega Man Legends 3? *Updated*
File this one under curiously hopeful. Gaming news site N4G has listings for Mega Man Legends 3 under both PlayStation 3 and XBox 360. I’m not much a traverser of N4G myself so I’m not sure how these things pan out there, but then again recall how Mega Man 9 began with a curious entry on the Australian OFLC. Still, with no info listed at all, including even a developer and publisher, we’ll just have to wait on this one. Should it hold any water, I imagine info will trickle down in the near future.

Update: Nope, this is pretty much wishful thinking on the part of a N4G user. Their moderation system doesn’t check against the existence of a game before they list it and anyone can add a game to their listing for any platform.
Sorry guys, but until someone actually references Mega Man Legends 3 in an announcement, it’s not happening for a while.
On a side note, while watching G4TV I noticed they had a poll up asking which game needs a sequel. Contenders were Misadventres of Tron Bonne, Okami and I forget the last one. Naturally, Okami won with about 66%, but that the game was even mentioned on G4 should count for something… right?

Sorry to burst your bubble entirely, but that listing has been there for months now. N4G has zero people moderating game entries since even rumored content is accepted, though wild speculation isn’t (and in this case, the lack thereof).
N4G should never be used as a source to any news, anyway. It’s a news aggregate site that’s moderated by its own users and rare administrators.
@ Ageman20XXX: you be QUIET, there was a MM9, why not a MMX9?, at least Legends got some good cameos and signs that its still alive, unindifferently for X
Hmm..I’d rather see Legends 3 before anything. None of the other games had such a cliffhanger..if they continue the ZX series, it’ll just go straight into Legends anyways. The X series has been dead since X6, and sighsilgsgisohgpsoh this better not be fake.
If this is a true rumor, I only hope it would be for Wii as well

But really, X hasn’t needed cameos. Yeah, I agree that he hasn’t gotten much love lately at all but we’ve been waiting for longer for a new Legends game than an X one. And really, even though it didn’t sell well enough, Maverick Hunter X was by-far some of the best fan-service X fans could have hoped for. All we get is cameos – no remakes, no fan-service, just cameos. I see what you mean though – I really, really, really wish they’d have continued with the MHX series (and Powered Up, for that matter) but Legends has had a total of 3 “core” games (not counting cell phone shit) whereas X has had 9 console titles and 4 handheld titles. As amazing as the X series is, I think Legends deserves just a little bit more.

I don’t really see how one installment of DASH is comparable to one X game.
I certainly hope MML3 wont be the last game… Megaman, and X both had 9 games? The battlenetwork series has also had way more then three games…. Why can’t there be a MML8?
Maybe if people would buy the games instead of modding their stuff and getting them illegally, there would be a MMPU2, or other PSP MM games along with MML3… Everyone should buy multiple copies of MM games to make up for the theft..
