Udon splitting R20?
Posted on March 30th, 2009 by Tabby
A peek over at Udon Entertainment’s schedule shows something very interesting.
As we know, Udon announced at their Otakon panel that they had just signed the paperwork to translate and publish R20, a huge art book containing classic and X series art. So, here we are months later, and finally we get a peek at what they’re up to. What’s on their site?
Mega Man: Official Complete Works slated for release on September 09.
Mega Man X: Official Complete Works. slated for release on November 09.
It’s probably a safe bet this is R20, only being split up for it’s English release.

How much is each going to cost?
I hope together they’ll be the same, and we don’t get ripped off…
They’re splitting it? oh ffff
I’m glad I picked up my R20 when I did.
I even got the counterfeit one as well for some godforsaken reason.
Right now you can pre-order the Classic Complete Works from Amazon for $26.57. Shipping can be free, too.
I can confirm that R20 will be split into two books (Mega Man Official Complete Works and Mega Man X Official Complete Works). I’m once again working on the project as the English adaptor (as I did with Mega Man Zero OCW), so I assure you this is legit.
What I don’t know is why this particular decision was made, but I hope it hasn’t snuffed out anyone’s excitement for the books — they’re going to be awesome, I promise.
I wonder if they’re gonna do an Art Contest for these books as well.
April fool ???
Right ??
I really only wanted the classic stuff anyways, but that’s 2 BAD
Ash: I’m sorta surprised Ariga would let you all split it. I’ll be interested in seeing how you split it up, in a design sense, of course.
walking run: …you wish. Unless Udon’s in on the joke too..
